the distributor of Texas
Chainsaw Massacre on videotape, and they decided a videogame would be a
good idea. In releasing Halloween
and Texas
Chainsaw Massacre, they introduced the first horror videogames to the market.
Poor distribution and the fact that many retailers kept these titles behind
the counter hidden from plain view lead to poor sales. The games are highly
collectible today due to their scarcity and crossover appeal to horror memorabilia
collectors. They are very difficult to find complete in the box. | |
