DaveD 195 Posted February 19, 2008 Speaking of Star Wars, have you guys seen that Family Guy Star Wars hourlong episode? Someone brought it into work yesterday and we watched it at lunch. I was skeptical at first but got sucked into it. It was genius. If you haven't seen it and you're a Star Wars fan you owe it to yourself to see it. While I'm not a huge Family Guy fan I do love how they go into all those little side stories and dialog that has nothing to do with the plot. They do this same thing to Star Wars. My favorite part was the dialog between the two Death Star guards and how they were petitioning for a safety railing between them and the Death Star weapon. Genius! Quote Link to comment
SpiceWare 8,828 Posted February 19, 2008 Same here. I seldom watch Family Guy, though a friend told me the SW spoof was a must see. I picked it up for $10 at Best Buy and enjoyed it. I loved the dialog at the end about Robot Chicken having done a Star Wars spoof first. If you didn't get that bit then it helps to know that Seth Green does the voice of Chris Griffin and is also a co-creator of Robot Chicken. Quote Link to comment

DaveD 195 Posted February 19, 2008 Or a T.A.R.D.I.S. Hasn't the whole episodes 4-6 coming before episodes 1-3 debacle taught us anything? It could happen. Quote Link to comment
Nathan Strum 11,921 Posted February 19, 2008 Speaking of Star Wars, have you guys seen that Family Guy Star Wars hourlong episode? It had a handful of funny spots, but for the most part, it was just another (and overly long) Family Guy episode. I did like the part where they killed Danny Elfman (I've been wanting to do that myself for years). But they really should have had Adam West be Obi-Wan. I can't stand the old man child molester character at all. That said, it was better than Space Balls. But then, having bamboo shoots rammed under your fingernails is better than Space Balls. I thought Robot Chicken's Star Wars special was much funnier. It was more inventive, better written, and didn't drag on like Family Guy's did. Keep in mind - I love good Star Wars parodies. There are some really good ones online, like: The Pink Five Saga The Knudson Menace Pitching Lucas Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager Episode III: A Lost Hope Trailer Quote Link to comment
