Hopefully it works the same way the AtariVox Serial Interface works when I use the Keyspan USB to Serial Adapter. I'll send you what little I got working back in May of 05.

Quick update - Darrell sent me a small app to test the interface with, and (after installing the correct driver) it worked! My Mac can make the AtariVox speak. Right now it only says "AtariVox" and "SpiceWare" but it is working.

As of OSX 10.8 onward, Apple has its own driver for FTDI USB devices.

DO NOT INSTALL ANY DRIVERS!

 

After 4 years of wondering why this didn't work on my Mac, but worked on other people's Macs, I found removing the driver kext extension and pkg receipts makes this hardware work.

Thanks for the heads-up. I hadn't gotten around to setting this up on my current system yet, so I'll keep that in mind.
