Development blogs are kind of fun, as I'm sure you've noticed. If nothing else, they can be a quicky substitute for a proper version management system.

Looking forward to it. It certainly may concern (i.e interest) a lot of people around here.

I'm looking forward to seeing this, even if it will zap my motivation to finish PoP :| So far, the clues that have been dropped are:

  1. It is a Supercharger game.
  2. It is going to be a multiload game.
  3. It has horizontal scrolling( and possibly vertical scrolling?).
  4. It will beat Leprechaun and PoP into the ground :|
  5. It is not a platform game.

Hi there!

[*] It will beat Leprechaun and PoP into the ground :|

Depends a bit on your taste I guess, as the genres are different :|

Definitely!

And I have absolutely no idea, how long completing the game will take. Thrust took ~18 months (with some longer, burnout breaks), so my new game might not be ready in time (if I ever finish it at all). At least the kernel and its scrolling engine which I am currently developing should become pretty useful for other SC projects.

And maybe it is even too much for a Supercharger and will require RAM extended ROM carts. Though I will try my best to stay within the historical limits of the 2600.
