NOTE: This blog series is obsolete.  Head on over to the Harmony/Melody Club where you'll find information on the new Linaro compiler and the new CDFJ coprocessor/bankswitch scheme that has many improvements over DPC+.

VirtualBox update

VirtualBox has an update, it's now at version 4.3.22. Go ahead and install it.

Ubuntu will encounter an error when you log in after updating VirtualBox. Just acknowledge it. After that, VirtualBox will notify you that the Guest Additions need to be updated, do so. That will take care of the Ubuntu error.

Ubuntu updates

Periodically Ubuntu will have updates to install. When this happens, you'll see the Software Updater icon in the Launcher.

Let's go ahead and run it - if you don't see the Software Updater you can use the Search icon to manually run it.

Disable Screen Lock

By default, Ubuntu will lock its screen after 5 minutes of idle time. That can become annoying, so let's turn it off.

Open up System Settings
