My dad's job transferred him from Mexico to Trinidad last year.  Trinidad has regulations on bringing in pets, so my mom stayed with me for 5 months with their dogs while waiting for permission to bring them into Trinidad.   Permission was finally granted, and I took a week off to help mom bring the dogs.  It also gave her more luggage room, of my 2 checked bags, I only used 1/2 of one.  The dogs are in quarantine for 30 days.  The direct fight from Houston arrives to late for the quarantine drop-off, so we had to stay the night in Miami.
