  • hyperspace momentum tied to menu option FRICTION
  • "implosion" effect when coming out of hyperspace to make it easier to find your ship
  • initial asteroid count tied to LEVEL.  Kids level starts with 2, Easy 3, Normal 4, and Hard 5
  • 2 second delay before returning to menu after final death
  • If you have 9+ lives the lives digit will display X for eXceeds 9 ;)
  • beginnings of a demo mode
  • last scores removed from main menu
ROMs for Harmony or Stella 3.7.1 or later

NICE! I love how the co-processor gives the Atari more oomph.

Thanks for this update! All the additions are great! The rematerializing ship is awesome! even with your place holder it does make a world of difference for the game play! Can't wait for when Nathan's updated graphics are in place!

Yeah, the rematerializing works great.  I initially added just the color cycling, but then I realized it would need only a minor amount of additional space to also have it animate.

I just noticed you are making good use of the 2-color 48-pixel sprite trick in the menu.

Yeah, the color option looks much better now than it did before.  I was initially thinking "vertical bands of color" totally forgetting the ability to change them line-by-line as I'd just been doing luma-lighting effects until then.
