GBA Chronogaming future

Posted by atari2600land, 30 January 2012 · 301 views

Right now I have "Lego Island 2: Brickster's Revenge" waiting to be played. And it looks like I may for the first time have to skip a game. The cheapest working copy of "Mega Man Battle Network" (the first one) on eBay is $20! If the used video game place doesn't have one cheaper, I'll probably skip it for now....

Posted by atari2600land, 29 January 2012 · 244 views

Yep, the time is near for Alien Greed 4 to be released. Only problem is, it needs a label. That's where you come in. If your entry gets chosen, you'll get a free copy of the game. Just head on over to the contest forum for more info. Good luck!

My 3DS review page updated

Posted by atari2600land, 28 January 2012 · 238 views

Apparently I have a problem with it being 2012. I keep typing 2011, even at the end of January. Anyway, I got a new review of a 3DS game. They were all out of the interesting ones, so I had to get Rabbids Travel In Time 3D. You can view my thoughts on it on my 3DS Reviews page here:...

Fatso!

Posted by atari2600land, 26 January 2012 · 244 views

I mentioned I was working on a new Odyssey2 game yesterday. Here's a little bit more about Fatso! Basically it's mostly like Fast Food for the Atari 2600, only on the Odyssey2. Your job now (which the rules may change since I don't exactly have a plan for this right now) is to eat all the food, which consists of...

Odyssey stuff

Posted by atari2600land, 25 January 2012 · 308 views

First the Odyssey2. I'm making a second game for it. I'm trying to port the Atari 2600 game Fast Food to the Odyssey2. After about four hours or so, I finally got a version the way I want it: presentable. I'm calling this game Fatso! (the exclamation point keeping the tradition.) I got two games for the...

The perfect movie.

Posted by atari2600land, 24 January 2012 · 316 views

I am writing a script for a movie. I got a couple books on scriptwriting for Christmas to help me make the perfect Hollywood movie, or at least have the qualities I want in a movie. A book told me about CeltX, a free piece of software for scriptwriting, so I downloaded it. I want this to be a movie the whole family can enjoy. And by that, I don't mean...

Jumble anagrams

Posted by atari2600land, 23 January 2012 · 402 views

I've always wondered what would happen if the people who made the Jumble put in a word that could be more than one word. Well today it happened. For the longest time, I thought the last word in today's Jumble was Aprils. Looking up "April" in the anagram dictionary led me to "prila", which, when pluralized, becomes...

pogs. (part 2)

Posted by atari2600land, 21 January 2012 · 253 views

Well, I did it. i created two pogs, with plans of more. I bought an exacto knife, some labels, and since they didn't have cardboard, I'm using backs of notepads. They may not have a smooth shiny finish like a pog, but they're about the same width as one. Cutting a round shape proved itself difficult, as I messed up a little on the first two pogs...

Word Zap

Posted by atari2600land, 20 January 2012 · 256 views

I saw the Game Boy game Word Zap reviewed in the first issue of Nintendo Power I ever got my hands on. My parents bought it for me because I was looking for a guide to Mario Paint (which I also have.) I didn't think much about it until I saw it at the used video game store. Out of curiosity, I got it. The object of the game is to create words with tiles...

pogs.

Posted by atari2600land, 19 January 2012 · 307 views

I'm going to do it. I'm going to make my own pog. Back in 1994, when pogs were popular, there was a thing I bought called a Pog Maker. You chose the image from a sheet of paper and cut it to fit on a sticky pog. Nobody knows what happened to it, but this is the same idea. While I'm shopping at OfficeMax for tubes for Captain Bruce, I'm also...
