Ahh, the smell of...defeat. I kept getting a game over on level 1. But I learned how to survive level 1 and now i keep getting a game over in level 2. I guess the problem was I wasn't going fast enough. Or perhaps I don't know how to drive a car. So I don't know how the stick shift works. Well, after experimenting, I figured out what to do in case I get in a wreck and my car flips over. Which happens more often than I want. Like in Pole Position, the cars seem to want you to run into them. So the game gets really happy while I cuss it out. If it weren't for the damn timer, I might be able to make it to level 3. But no, some asshat decided to put a time limit in the game. An impossible one, too. And this is a game that showcases a flaw of the TurboGrafx-16. Instead of the cars gradually getting bigger and smaller, it seems like the car opponent sprites are only in three sizes. And the cars are hard to miss, especially when you need to go fast in order to make the time limit, so you crash into them. And with 5 seconds left, you're like, "there's no way I can make it in time," and just give up. It's like the game doesn't want you to play it. Again, if there was no timer, the game would be loads more fun. Add this to the pile of games that won't let me past level 2. In case you're wondering what's next, Power Golf and Klax are up next. With Klax, I will have all the games that start with K. Because there's only 3 of them. And they're not horridly expensive.
