Vegetables that start with the letter C
So I'm making another weird sounds CD. So far this album I've employed an Odyssey 2 emulator and an Amiga emulator. I used the Say program to make the computer "say" stuff, then I garbled it up until it made weird noises. I don't know if I talked about my project called "scalene triangles abounding" here yet. I made one album and called it "corn." Now I'm making the second one called "carrot." I decided to go with a theme: vegetables that begin with C. So far I've thought of this:
cauliflower
celery
cabbage
collard greens
cucumber.
And when I'm done making the one called "Cucumber," I can move on to spices, like:
cilantro
cinnamon
cumin.
I must admit I think weird noises are cool. And some of these noises I made on here are quite weird. Not heavy metal noises, but just overall weird ones. And all of the tracks are less than 10 seconds long. It's fun to see how much I can cram into less than ten seconds. Did you know that the shortest track you can burn onto a CD is four seconds? I learned that. So no 3 second-long tracks unless I want a second of silence tacked on to the end (which I don't.) I have six tracks left to go until I complete Carrot, so I expect it to be done later this month. So follow this one here: http://www.atari2600land.com/scalenetrianglesabounding/ I posted some samples of the first album, and I will do the same for the second. Each album will contain 32 tracks, so the total time for each album is less than four minutes long. Saying that, a lot of work goes into three minutes' worth of weird noises. For example, the first album "corn" is 208 seconds long, so about 3 and a half minutes. The one I'm working on will be a little bit longer, though. I don't know why, I guess I'm making longer weird noises for some reason.
