almost Jag collecting quitting time

So here I am, two games away from completing a Jaguar collection. It's not all the Jaguar games, though. I can't afford Rayman, et al. And I don't have a Jaguar CD thing, so I don't have any Jag CD games. And I probably couldn't afford a Jaguar CD anyway with the eBay asking prices. So anyway, I ordered Fever Pitch Soccer off of eBay (I think the e doesn't stand for "electronics," but rather "expensive".), which leaves only two games left R5 and under: International Sensible Soccer and Power Drive Rally. I've become disenfranchised with the Turbo Grafx 16 I have. Those games are just too expensive for me to keep buying. I found a plastic bin to keep my Jaguar games in. The collection outgrew the other one. This new bigger bin has room for 3 more games, which is perfect. I think I'll probably sell my TG16 collection and console. I don't know what to price it at though. It's missing the plug ins for it. (I've been using the same ones for my Jaguar and my TG16.) So yeah, I guess I'm just not meant to be rich enough to, say, own a 3DO or Vectrex, or Odyssey 1. Come to think of it, I still have a Commodore 64. I think I'll go find it and play it.

Are you a collector, or a gamer? If you are a collector for pretty much any system these days, then you need deep pockets.

On the other hand, if you want to just play some frigging games, get some sort of writeable flashcart. These are available for the TG16, the Jaguar, and the Vectrex. With 3DO, games are available as torrents you can download and burn to CD-R. Most flashcarts are under $100.

Well, I'm a little of both. But the problem with flash carts is, I might get disinterested in a system and decide to sell it, like I am doing with my TurboGrafx 16. Maybe I should look into the flash cart thing for systems I will never part with, like the Jaguar.
