Side Pocket

Side Pocket for Game Gear is an example of a game that shouldn't be done on the Game Boy due to the use of color. Of course, that hadn't stopped the makers from releasing a Game Boy version. I wonder what it's like. I couldn't imagine playing a black and white version of a game that is supposed to be in color. Which is why I like my Game Gear. And I don't have to worry about batteries, I can just use my AC adapter. Anyway, the point is to sink a whole bunch of billiard balls on a table in as few shots as possible. As the levels progress, the number of shots allowable is decreased and the number of balls increase. I got to City Champion (level 2) before I decided that it is impossible for any human to go further in the game, so I quit, which is a shame since I like this sort of game. Oh well, I guess I can play Pocket Billiards on the Odyssey 2 if I ever get the urge to play. Or, Maximum Pool on the Dreamcast is also good. I wonder why the Game Boy version was made. The balls have a color on them for a reason. It's not just to make them pretty. It's to help signify their number. 1 is yellow, 2 is blue, etc. Oh well. I'm supposed to get Itchy and Scratchy for the Game Gear soon. And then I will have 74 Game Gear games. Both my bins are full. It seems silly to start a third one now and just put a few games in it. So I'll wait...
