Back to bB
So after failing my second Game Gear game, I went back to something I know how to do: Atari 2600 programming using batari Basic. And I worked on Mr. Celery. The last time was Tuesday the 24. I finally reached and surpassed the 5 minute mark. It's at 5 min. 10 sec. now. Well, technically it could go on forever at this point, but I want the scene to end at that point. But I've written myself in a corner. I have writer's block now. I made a little tune to play while Mr. Celery is driving the truck down the road. I figured it was silent for too long, so I composed a little bit of music. Right now the bB file is gigantic, 82k of code for a 32k game. The final bB file for episode 1 was 92k. But I think even right now, episode 2 is better and prettier. Like last time, I want this to be a little more than 7 minutes. I have about 600 bytes left in bank 6 and bank 7 is free, so that's 4,052 bytes and bank 8 has a whole bunch of graphics in it and it's only 600 bytes free even though there's nothing typed in it. If I think of something, I need for it to be simple and not take up a lot of memory.
