263

So I was working on Cellary Celery last night. I put back in b&w mode. Played a bit again this morning and discovered 263 scanlines has returned a few times. So back to work to see if I could fix it. I think I might have. But then again, my motto is "never be sure," which makes it really hard to call a game done. I am in fear that some undiscovered bug may be discovered, like in the case of Chief Chef. But this is my first foray into 2600 programming with assembly, which makes it really hard to fix something that you can't understand why it's happening and so you try various things to try to fix it and nothing seems to help until that moment when it does. I have 7 bytes left when I compile the latest version, version 50. With previous versions, it had been all the way down to zero. Or in some cases, I compile and the game got too large so I had to cut stuff out, and then later put it back in, and it's just so hard to do. But anyway, I'm happy that I was able to reinstate the b&w mode. I like it. It gives the game a certain charm against those that don't have one. Call me weird, but that's the way I think. So if anyone has feedback for the game be sure to let me know, because I think I might be close to finished with this game. And then the motto "never be sure..."
