Finally!
I guess the third time's the charm. I bought a copy of Atari 2600 Xenophobe off eBay a few days ago. The past two were PAL copies that rolled on my CRT TV. I was hoping this one would actually behave and be NTSC. Well, the dog woke me up to let me know someone was on our porch. I looked and there sat a package. So I got it. I opened it up. There were a bunch of foam peanuts, which my cat loves to dine on. Under them was a boxed copy of Xenophobe.
I took it in my room. Thankfully my Atari 2600 was already hooked up since I had been testing a game I am making. I put the game in there and flipped the power switch. Success! Xenophobe's title screen was not rolling this time! Though it was not fun trying to get the game OUT. The lip of the cart was stuck momentarily. The next few times were evil. One time, the sound didn't come on, so I turned it off and back on again and the sound came on.
So anyway, this is Atari 2600 game #344. Most of the rest are in boxes in the garage. I would have liked to keep them in here, but the collection became too large. (One box is marked "Atari 2600 games A-C.", just to give you an idea.)
