Kevin vs. Blueberries

Before you get all excited and thought I was programming a sequel to my Channel F game "Kevin Vs. Tomatoes," let me say that this was just me fooling around with attempting to make a program using just 10 lines of Turbo-Basic for the Atari 800. I woke up at 1:30am because I couldn't stand being thirsty any more. I lay in bed dying of thirst when I try to go to sleep and I don't bring any water into my room because I'm afraid I'd spill it all over my games accidentally.

So anyway, after fooling around for about a few hours, I spent about an hour more trying to figure out how to save my game into the Altirra emulator. It has a lot of features that are very confusing if you're just an idiot like me that made a program and want to save it to a "disk".

The game uses the joystick. To test it I used the arrow keys and the left CTRL button as the fire button. To start a game, press it. Move Kevin around with the joystick. In this version, Kevin does not automatically move, so you have to use the joystick differently to move him. And if Kevin runs into a border, he'll just stop and the game won't reset. Other than that, it's about the same as the Channel F version.

So I was able to fit this into 10 lines. But I doubt I'll enter it into that compo because my programs aren't good enough because i don't know how to use Atari 800 BASIC any more than just simple games like this. In case you care, you can download the program and run it onto your emulator.
