Well, my real estate business has really took off recent so don't have much time for anything but;My music friend of mine and I have worked out the base line for the opening music and working on the melody. turns out the timing in the music is real tricky. it switches from 4-4 to 4-2 at several places and back. The square wave TI version sounds kinda...

Been too long

Due to series of unfortunate (and fortunate) events I got really behind in my blogging. But it did give me a time to think.I not going to do (yet) a TI megamania but going to create a bottom shooter I'm calling 'shotumup' in 'C'. This will teach me TI 'C' for use on MULE and I'll have some fun. Also, had put the music to the...

megamania
Start work on assembler Megamania while a friend and I work on the music for MULE.I THOUGHT this would be easy. Just use Sprites and voila! But no.first problem: the opening bad guys you shot at have five characters, in a row. TI can only show four in a row.second problem: when bad guys move down off the screen they move behind the play field bar a th...

Latest new toy from DARPA... MULE!Add a head on the thing and you got the game icon.I love the way it dances around when it walks. Someone described the walk like that of a nervous horse.  But the look. It's kinda, well, almost unsettling. Like some apocalyptic sci-fi prop gone hay-wire. :)..http://youtu.be/40gECrmuCaU

And now a pause to learn some stuff

assembler, megamania
I'm working with a musical friend of mine on recreating the music. The music in MULE is one of the elements that everyone remembers most fondly so I want to get it right. Unfortunately we both work odd hours so the progress is slow.SO, while I'm waiting, and since I feel I need to learn assembler for this project (even though I will be writing it...

Off the subject of MULE for the moment while I get some help on the music. My dad restores antique cars as a hobby. His current interest is mid 50's Chevys and is restoring a 1956 Chevrolet 210, very nice.  Recently he talked me into going with him to a mid 50's car show (didn't have to twist my arm too much, I had a '66 Impala while in col...

http://www.retroist....r-the-ibm-pcjr/ I never knew they created a version of MULE for the IBM PC jr. The graphics are soooo slow. it's almost like they rewrote it in PC BASIC.
