Brainstorming some homebrewing ideas.

HYE is on hold right now. Currently I'm reading up on designing games with Visual bAtari since I got a spiked interest in making some. Ideas I got in mind and what to put in it.

Tour de France (Atari 2600/VCS) - cycling game where I'm debating on making it racing or obstacle avoidance and it would include an Atari rendition of Tour De France by Kraftwerk

Maze of Hell (Atari 2600/VCS) - maze game where you are a small dot trying to escape the maze made out of fire (walls that cycle through red, orange, and yellow colors) and you have to avoid touching it as you move through the maze (think Irritating Maze). The stage music would be a rendition of Jimi Hendrix's Fire.

Zelda-ish game (Atari 2600/VCS) - Maybe the exact Zelda game except when you reach the edge of the screen, it won't scroll into place it flashes to the next screen and the character where he needs to be. Ex: Go out through the top, wrap around to the bottom of the screen as the screen changes.

For 5200, I think remaking Hard Hat for the Arcade would be good.

I'll study upon 7800 stuff later but got some ideas for that too.

Wolfenstein TD (Atari 7800) - six different games representing episodes which is exactly Wolf3D mapwise except it's top down thus TD. I considered doing something similar for the Atari 2600/VCS but not many people have a keyboard controller. Controls could be joystick = face and move in that direction. Left button = Fire, Right button (Press to open door/hold to strafe).

Outrun-ish game (Atari 7800) - same concept and it would include a rendition of Tool's Sober, FreakNasty's Da Dip, or another song I can't remember since they would sound like driving songs when Atarified. (picture them when the driving sound effect is going on).

Don't know where to go but sounds like a good idea.

Any fighting game made for 2600 such as Street Fighter/King of Fighters/etc. could utilize a system similar to a fighting game called Buriki One since the joystick has one button thus that is held down to move and the joystick is used to attack but it sounds a little complicated for now. If 5200 is used instead then it has more avenues to take advantage of such as having four buttons to work with.
