But I thought video killed the radio star and video games killed pinball? New, real pinball games are still being made? It's too good to be true. It must be a trap!

Yes, video games did significant damage to pinball. But the real killer was home consoles & PCs which killed the arcades.

 

However, Stern still puts out a new pinball or two each year. There's still a decent commercial market (bars, movie theaters, other entertainment complexes, Chuck E. Cheese/Dave & Buster's, etc.) and a home/collector market.
