  2. Looking forward to playing it on ZPH tomorrow! 🙂 You'll be able to watch in the YouTube archives after it streams live, enjoy Florida! - James
  3. type PDMA at the command line. If ON, try "PDMA OFF" If OFF, try "PDMA ON"
  4. Thanks for the tips, I'm so rusty playing it 😂
  5. Here are some new(reproduction buttons and decals) and a new Tempest 2000 embroidered patch: Buttons $2 Refractor button $4 (badass) decals $1 Tempest 2000 patch $6
  6. Pretty sure someone said that someone said that they heard that someone told someone else that they got them, they just haven't submitted the paperwork yet or something silly like that. But they're as good as got.
  7. Yesterday
  8. How many you think we'll end up with? I'm the opposite... I'm interested based on the developer's history, and think it looks like it'll be a solid game, but the "Yars" title doesn't add anything for me. I loved the original game, of course, but this seems pretty far from it. Looks like she may play a "Yars game" as for a mini game or something. Which could be funny... imagine having to play some iteration of your race's traumatizing war experience just to open a door or something. Like they haven't figured out lock + key yet?
  9. My guess is that they deliberately wants to make a modern-type genre 2D platformer using a really old, classic Atari IP (Yars), ie. a spin-off game, not a sequel, in order to make more recent/younger gamers interested/introduced and aquainted with older, classic Atari franchises. This seems to be an obvious spin-off type game, not meant to bring very much Yars gameplay into action. — It seems her ‘superpower’ is to don Yar-insect-wings at occasions (power-ups? Level up? Particular mission?) — Dunno if you’re into the Evercade stuff. They released a indie-game about a kid in cyberpunk world, who would have to move about like Prince of Persia and those ‘realistic movement-type games’. It seems to want to cater to that crowd, and try to expand Ataris old IPs to find their ways to popular genre-types. I don’t find that a bad sign in itself. What remains to be seen is whether they deliver quality and fun gameplay. Looking at several of Atari’s modern games, they seem to have in common that they’re not overloaded with effects snd action, do as to run fairly well on Switch and perhaps even also their own VCR. I feel its way too early to hail or doom it. The full game must be released and then we can get to see if its generic metroidvania from A to Z, or actually contains something new, or something old, just very well done/executed.
  10. That’s great! @82-T/A I guess there are different kinds of collectors. As for me I collect to play. I’m enjoying games today that I didn’t get to experience back in the day. Last year I found a copy of Gravitar online new sealed CIB. As soon as I received it I opened it up and started playing. I only paid 25.00 for it. I did purchase a clear plastic protective box to preserve it. Afterwards I read some where not to leave games in the sealed plastic wrap because it crushes the box. So I do try to preserve what I have but I’m all about playing these games! Thanks for your input. I really enjoyed your take on the subject
  11. Holding down+fire in the air performs a jump punch. Simply pressing fire without moving performs a low kick. During the knee bend animation press up for a high kick or away for a round house. I wanted standing block to be a hybrid of SF2 but without locking you in place, so you continue to walk away but upon hit it becomes a block. I chose the moveset based on what hand movements felt more natural to the sprite animations. E.g. while I really wanted Scorpions spear to be down, back, fire, it felt too unnatural to do down, forward, fire for his ghost punch which moves in the opposite direction. The jump punch has the character sprite leaning down/forward in the air and jump kick seemed to be used more during play so that's how I went with the controls. I left a DEBUG in the game, so doing a straight up jump punch will change to the next character for testing. (forgot to remove it for the demo)
  12. Keep shilling everything as you do. There's zero connection to anything about the old game. It's a cash grab, but I get it. Business gotta business. Maybe this will make your $0.12 stocks go up to $0.13 or something.
  13. Cool, sounds great. I'll do my best to catch it. I'm in Florida this week so hopefully I can break away for a bit.
  14. It's been a long time since I had a SCSI on a Geneve. So, I think I need a refresher course. both my new 838-SCSI and WHT-SCSI REV F act the same. I have SW2 all set to 'ON' for the Geneve I have in AUTOEXEC SCSMAP 11 SCSMAP 22 SCSMAP 33 ASSIGN F=SCS1: ASSIGN G=SCS2: ASSIGN H=SCS3: I'm trying to use a ZuluSCSI drive, works fine on the TI with the same SCSI cards. When I try to get a directory of any of the SCSI drives, I assigned above, the light on the ZuluSCSI engages for a few seconds then turns off and the Geneve is locked up. What am I doing wrong?
  15. Could they make a decent case for a 400, which has all flat sides?
  16. Can anyone confirm that this replacement PCB keyboard will work with an Atari 800 with a Mitsumi keyboard (aka the mylar style) with what appear to be like a cross pattern found on the atari keycaps which looks a lot like the Cherry MX tops? I came across with an 800 which suffers from the mitsumi mylar effect over age. I do plan on pulling the keyboard mylar apart, but wanted to know if this is an option for me.
  17. I have not tried MyDOS yet, but it looks exactly like what I’m looking for! Thanks for sharing, I’ll definitely give it a go.

  21. I have a MegaSt board mounted in a tower PC case. It would crash fairly regularly and only run reliably if placed on its side. unfortunately right now it isn't booting up at all. So it could very well be a loose chip causing your problems.
  22. Thanks so much Anthony appreciate the support and kind words, been active in the shadows but a strong collector of MVS for years, hoping to share the NeoGeo love with the masses. Glad to be part of the group here.
  23. Oh man... you do not know what you're asking. Here goes... For one... what is your goal in collecting them? I think most game hoarders collectors have a fantasy of opening a game museum in the future. Some do, some die of heart disease and most of their games find their way to a dumpster after the estate sale, and others eventually realize it's not what they want and blow them out on eBay. I came to at least one of those conclusions many years ago... but not after I individually wrapped every single one of my Atari 2600 games in a special plastic bag, and then placed them in two large Tupperware bins. At least I did that in the top one. Eventually it occurred to me that if I wanted to actually play all... 220 games? I'd have to take them out of the plastic bags. So clearly... what you need to do here is... buy duplicates of everything, and keep the nice one wrapped, and the shitty one to play. No! Sorry... scratch that. Figure out what your goal is... do you want to play these games... or are you just collecting them / so you can look at them fondly? If you want to play them, and the labels are already trashed, you're only making it better by replacing them (my opinion).
