  2. You shouldn’t need bank-switching unless the amount of voice data you want to include exceeds the available space in the default bank (~42K words). It all depends on the size of your game and the amount of voice data, but bank-switching is not a requirement for voice — having an IntelliVoice is the only requirement. Good luck with your project. dZ.
  3. Usually the whole TOS version is downloaded and split as required on the Atari ST or ST emulator. Loads of TOS images here:- https://avtandil.narod.ru/tose.html ROM splitter here:- https://atari.8bitchip.info/TOS/TOSdep.html As discussed previously, you will normally need a 192KB version for a MegaST. Try the TOS1.04 without Line-F. It seems faster to me in an Atari STFM.
  4. Looks good. The sealed ones were never meant to be opened. Many perfectly good transformers probably went into the trash as a result of that short sighted and cheap design. For a few more pennies per unit, they could have been made with replaceable fuse holder, accessible from the outside.
  5. There's still hope that Lunar Lander Beyond will get Classic Joystick support added at a later date on the Atari VCS 800. Davpa did say on his last Twitch stream when he was playing the game that even though contracts for the game have ended he might still be able to get joystick support added if someone can figure it out it'll get done. I personally don't mind this game not having Classic Joystick, I'm actually enjoying it as it is and I'm really impressed by how well the Atari VCS 800 port runs! I've been playing a fair bit of the game across multiple platforms and it certainly has more frame rate issues on the Nintendo Switch than anything else. I've had a few issues with the Steam Deck version crashing but the little Atari VCS seems to handle the game very well and my Lenovo Legion Go handles it like its running a little calculator game. I honestly didn't expect to like Lunar Lander Beyond so much, the demo gave a bad impression but its actually pretty fun and challenging the further in you get and certainly worth the low price. I've actually payed more money recently for rubbish aftermarket games on other systems that have very little content to offer, Lunar Lander Beyond is a big game and the price is fair for a modern game.
  6. Say @Igor and @ZeroPage Homebrew, any chance you'll join us for Eggsavier?
  7. That's Cool! Yes those are O3 controllers. I think you might be right about them just using what ever they had. You have a very odd beast on your hands. Most likely quite collectable too.
  8. I think the question was, did you isolate the pins before the rewire inside the 8 bit do? An external adapter or pigtail would not require that in theory... make sure you Atari ports are still fully functional and no passive inductors/components have been cooked/damaged. Same check inside the do.
  9. You might need to be more specific on what you mean. In the original post in the thread, Vocelli posted some .bin files for the games being played (at the very bottom of the post). Are they not clickable for you or computer not saving because of a trust issue perhaps? We'll need more details on what you mean to try to help you out and playing!
  10. I cannot find the addr function. Is there a something else that I can use ? addr allows me to return the address of a variable, function or procedure. I like to read the start address of an array and print it.
  11. I did lots of Googling to see what games were released and looked at reviews of games. Almost all the games released on the system bar a few exceptions (such as Wolfenstein) were either games nobody ever heard about by developers nobody ever heard about or else modern versions of Atari arcade hits from the 1980's. Atari destroyed their good reputation as a console maker with the video game crash of 1983 and never really recovered and mostly relied on its back library of arcade games. Despite coming from the Amiga camp (I had an Amiga 500 Plus) during those times I do truly respect the Atari ST line especially for its leading role in MIDI music but even for the amount of third party support for games it received even though especially in its later years programmers got lazy and made rubbish ports of multi-platform games which didn't take advantage of the STe which was similar in capabilities to the Amiga with its new sound hardware and blitter and the added bonus of easily upgradable 30 pin ram.
  12. I'm astonished by the graphic details. Well done! I haven't tested in real hardware, but I remember the default controller stick isn't very good for diagonals. I could suggest an optional interface using the keypad as a compass rose.
  13. Here's another 1090 in the wild. I just need to clean the flux and power test the board before inserting the ICs. Excuse the laid over cap at C5 - they were too large to fit side by side and also, I had to cut the caps out of the cardboard/tape strips so I didn't rip the legs out. In doing so, the leads were too short to adjust so the cap would sit farther to the side.
  14. Just got Mr. Run and Jump. It's lot of fun and a bit addictive. If you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out!

Can concur. Even with save states, I've had fun with it. Just need to pick it back up someday.

  15. This is what happened to my FB controller during some intense Jr. Pac-Man game play.
  16. Today
  17. I can test each of the Champ Games as well. Btw, Conquest of Mars, the Original Lady Bug and Avalanche already work on the 2600+.
  18. Haven't had a ton of time for games lately, but Star Ship has been parked in my 2600 for the last month, so I've been sneaking in a few rounds here and there. 🙂
  19. It only took 21 years to reach that conclusion, so maybe not much thought was put into it.
  20. PS: When I say XBOX I mean that one console ....Contemporary of the PS2... When I say PlayStation, I mean a console that came out in North America in 1995. If I meant PlayStation 4, Why would I not spend the extra second to type a "4"? PPS: I'm sure @johannesmutlu thinks I mock him on occasion. If yes, then only in good fun! Nothing mean spirited as I truly enjoy his work! It's easy enough to ignore something if it really bothers you. (Nope! I'm a willing participant over here)... In this instance at its heart, once you translate past the language, punctuation, grammar, and performance art barrier, you will find that I agree with him (Parker Bros could have made life easier...Though as the time frame comes into focus, their (possible) reasons make more sense), and add those sensibilities to my cause; Mainly I shouldn't be assuming any system as a base model, So if you say nothing; It's for PC? How is that a rightful assumption? Might as well assume all video games are for Atari unless otherwise stated...
  21. Not from what I've seen. Just two styles so far, the Jaguar at the top with the green circuitry border, and the straight up copy of the game cover. Two versions for two different game chains? I really like the green circuitry border (which is why I picked that version of Zool).
  22. Wait, Are you accusing me of not making sense? Or did I just make so much sense that you just blew your mind?* *BTW, I know this sentence makes no sense. That's part of what makes it so funny (It made sense to Kramer, but he was saying it wrong)
  23. Okay, hang on: so you only had two games, and you liked one of them, but you decided the entire library is garbage?
