  2. sure, I will add the command line to a window title. I will return to previous naming (without 32) so the 32bit version will work with the Larek's GUI. There is also this super simple GUI library for SDL2 https://github.com/rxi/microui/tree/master that could allow to make a proper UI (not just a launcher) for the RC. Will consider trying it, but if we have C++ developers here, any help is welcome! Since the release C++ also added a multi-threading to the language natively, so dependency on pthreads could be removed, but I think it's not a priority for now. Generally the code got super optimized for speed by @phaeronwith caching of intermediate results for reuse which now makes it harder to introduce changes (like addition of 5 color char-mode instead of 4 color bitmap). To make it possible the code will need to be significantly reorganized. Oh, I also forgot to add a Generator folder to the release on Github, will add it in the next release.
  3. Also as a cost saving deal I'm sure, it looks like the new VS doesn't have the cool color-changing LEDs...But I'm just going off of what it looks like.

  6. Actually the Microsoft minimum specs for running Windows 95 are: - 386 DX processor - 4GB RAM - 50-55MB IDE HDD - 5.25” FDD The 386 SX has internal 32-bit architecture, but only has 16-bit BUS which slowed response. I think the SOC nature of this machine and CF Card in IDE mode overcomes poor response to a larger extent than an original configuration would have exhibited. That said, you could do as I intend and backup the included card and then add another formatted with DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11 and get snappier performance.
  7. It'd make more sense if you saw the ending in the arcade version. Just... trust me on this one.
  8. River Raid (high score): 58,080 River Raid (1-4 high score): 7490
  9. Great, I will check this out tomorrow at some point thank you!
  10. whackem_game.rom Fixed the previously mentioned issues, and added some extra graphics for when Byron gets bonked. Oh, this is shaping up pretty darned well!

  12. Because : - I don't own a CX21 so I just can't do it myself if myself means alone - I think it is more fun (not only for me) helping people to handle a project that mean something to them than doing it for them. Doing it for them can even spoil it for the person who originally raised the idea (I've been spoiled by "helpers" more than once ^^) - I have tons of projects that I don't have time and energy to finish on my own side. I can add one, which has more constraints than the already ongoing ones because other people will wait after it, but it is nice to know other people want to get involved and this was not only a random question without real expectation behind. - I don't need to repair a CX21 and for several reasons I won't organize a group order nor open a store, there is no point in doing part of the work if nobody has time and will to handle other parts. If the problem is knowledge, that one is easy to fix we can help That being said, communication is hard and english is not my mother tong. What I wanted to say was definitively not "hey just do it yourself that's easy" but "that's something we can easily achieve as a community, where are we and how much help do you need ?"
  13. Which DOS do you use with your drive and why? Is their a case to use anything other than DOS XE or Sparta DOS X?

  15. How about you being in control of the earthquakes caused by Stay Puft for an indefinite time by pressing and holding the fire button? With this you can also switch the game's soundtrack. Stay_Puft_Fire_Button_Earthquake.bas Stay_Puft_Fire_Button_Earthquake.bas.bin
  16. There is also the XEGS, the new VCS and Home Pong.
  17. 4 years later @Jinroh Wonderful game! Are there instructions for this game that can be downloaded?

    Hera Primera

Yesterday I've received my copy of Hera Primera. I assume that in the next days many people will receive their copy, too.
  19. Does anyone know if there is a home port of the arcade Two Tigers, which I think was put out by Bally. I used to play the arcade game as a teenager and I really liked it and was fairly good at it. But I've never heard of any home port of the game on any console or computer. Does one exist? Even if it is a clone and not an official port? AFAIK, there has never been any home release of this game including modern(ish) arcade game collections. I believe it uses an 8-track for some of the sounds. AFAIK, MAME doesn't incorporate the 8-track sound track. It's a pretty good looking game for 1984 as well. It is the distinct look of Bally games of the time. I don't know why it never got officially ported. But maybe it got a clone or shareware version on one of the home computers.. A quick search of google and youtube doesn't show anything.
  20. 182090 - Bridge 72 Gave this another go and had a nice improvement. Really gets hectic when the fuel tanks disappear for entire sections!
  21. These are hard to find, but great for sending secret messages during war-time. Oh, that, I forgot about that one!
  22. Maybe it'll be like one of those dark comedies you see with an old medieval style. I mean I guess there's room for some lame humor around those characters and the backdrop but I can only begin to wonder if the fans will get annoyed with it who care about the franchise. Serious but not serious in the sligtest, like Lower Decks is to Star Trek?
