  2. This is @Retrospect somtimes: I totally feel that.
  3. I remember. You use this technique a lot. Oh. I did not get it. Now I understand you did that on purpose. I thought you just used very low quality source images, overexposed and noisy. But my observations are not valid I still need to see Rasta Converter pictures on a real CRT... I'm planing to visit a local 8 bit computers museum... There are at least two in my area...
  4. I was having a tantrum. Stamping my feet. I'm over it now but if you wanna take me up on it fine.
  5. He has been showing up more lately- In the game Atarimania, and also in the new Food Fight game that's in early access (Bentley manages the arcade)
  6. I don't exactly remember what the issue was with Denise, but I think it just ran poorly. Maybe I should boot it up again and see. I update my emulator setup every year during the snowy months and always try out new emulators that come along and add them if they are decent. Vice does annoy me at times, and I'd love a good alternative but I've yet to find one. Part of the issue with Denise is there's very little documentation, and no real community to help. But I feel like that's the way many of these newer projects have been heading unfortunately.
  7. The Atarimax SD supports both .a52 and .bin format ROM images, so you should be covered there. One other thing it supports are .hyb (hybrid) images, which consist of a ROM image plus a data file that is loaded dynamically as needed. This lets games like AtariBlast! access a full 1MB of data on a machine with no external storage. AFAIK, hybrid images are specific to the Atarimax SD; I don't believe anything else supports them. Not a big deal in practice, though.
  8. So I thought to change the Fujinet Divisor, but I didn't change U1MB. Of course, now that I have, it is working fine. You should add "Award Winning Technical Support" to the list of TLW accolades. Thank you!!!

  10. If this trend had had a clearly defined win-or-lose target, it could make for new type of game. Quarrelum:Recharged Tempest 8-Billion or quite simply Insta-Berzerk would also work as good titles. - - - Not sure, however, that any inflamatory intent really went on here. May be just the way people communicate after skipping around from digital platform to digital platform… having strong opinions. We can use it to discuss technical details if we really want to show maturity. What is the average lag-time on the worst vs best emulators? If we go by 1) stating system used and 2) measure it in nanoseconds? Anyone?
  11. Hi guys, ArielAces the ToyMaker @ArielAces The Future is NOW! These Neo Geo #Holo3DFX™ #TapTo decals came out – going to try these out on some black NFC cards. The colors and richness of the cover art looks so badass! #MiSTerFPGA #MiSTer 1:05 PM · Mar 28, 2024 Anthony..
  12. Yeap.. I don't use it all the time but I've gotten quite a few good deals (I feel) doing it. I use Buyee.jp as my proxy service to browse and bid etc. The auction I won for my controller as an example was about $30 shipped. It does have some small scuffs on it that was shown accurately in the pics of the auction. Aside from that little bit of cosmetic flaw, the controller works great! So that is one suggestion for something like that and if you use a proxy service like Buyee, or Sendico, then you can save some money that way vs eBay.

Was on a great run, decided to film it with my phone in case magic happened, lost my mind Next time I’ll just focus on playing the game rather than evidence gathering. 79954 Here’s the shambles, btw the death that happens at 1:23, this happens to me quite often, no idea what is killing me, thought I was flying straight!
  15. Hi guys, Neo Byte Force @neobyteforce Got some #CyborgForce samples made for the #Dreamcast . Needs a couple fixes here and there, but overall really pleased with the result What do you think ? 10:49 AM · Mar 28, 2024 Anthony...
  16. Not only should there be a Bentley Bear 3 of some kind, (I’d love to see another platformer or even a MetroidVania in the vein of Disney Illusion Island on Switch), but I think Atari should go as far as making him more of an official Mascot for the company (like Mario or Sonic).
  17. So TLW is capable of saving the file to the HDD, but not to the SIO device. Since the storage device is abstracted from the application by DOS and the SIO drivers (thus the application has no idea which volume is on the HDD and which is on the FujiNet) it's certainly a bit puzzling. It's possible that it's actually DOS that is hanging and failing to return from the CIO call. What divisor are you running on the FujiNet? SDX SIO drivers are generally unhappy with divisors below 3 or 2 or so, which could be a factor when writing to a serial device. I remember the progress bar in some versions of TLW didn't care for low divisors either (it was designed back when SIO divisor 0 was rarely used). EDIT: I see U1MB in the hardware specs, so are you also running the U1MB HSIO driver?

  19. Oh nice! I see the stone age gamer PSU. That will probably be my best bet. And I totally forgot about yahoo auctions. I've never sued it so I'm not even sure how to. I'm also debating on making an arcade stick. They don't have an encoder so it's super easy. I even thought about getting the USB-C neo geo controllers and modifying that to use 15 pin. Thanks for the reminder of Yahoo Auctions, and the recommendation for SAG.
  20. Hmm... I guess pending more opinions on the matter... [Edit] Maybe testing something with advanced sound techniques like Instrumentarium can help determine something. (Note: speed of music is intended for PAL; NTSC will be a little fast) Instrumentarium.xex
  21. Sure. I'd ramp up the dithering on all of the subject and perhaps do my double dithering technique as described in the RC thread last year. Works a treat with portrait and skin tones eg my own conversion portrait last year https://forums.atariage.com/topic/200118-images-generated-by-rastaconverter/?do=findComment&comment=5339446
  22. Agreed, this dude's topics read like focus group tests for shitty Youtube videos. The formula is: Present a polarizing issue in a way that insults a community in order to get them to respond in order to debunk the fallacious/incendiary premise.
  23. I have a puzzle I haven't been able to figure out. Here is my issue: I want to save a file to a disk image on drive 1 or 2 on Fujinet from TLW. TLW hangs when I attempt to do this, it does create a file, but its 0 sectors and can't be opened. I have spent some time troubleshooting and I have discovered that saving a file ANYWHERE other than the directory that I load TLW from causes this hang and creates the empty file. So has anyone had this issue before? Details about my setup. U1MB - up to date firmware VBXE installed - I used TLW 3.3 RC1 I use a SIDE2 cart and load up SDX (current version) and run TLW from D3: in a subdirectory named LW. I always load LW using the X LW.EXE command From SDX, I can move files around to the Fujinet and other Drives (like D4:) without issue, I can even load that file back into TLW, but if I try to save it, no dice. Lotharek Fujinet with most up to date firmware. Thoughts?
