  2. Hi everyone. I've been working in this game but not for making a cartridge. It's one of the games that will appear with full source code in my next book Stay tuned for more info!
  3. Will it be coming back at some point soon?
  4. What is the current most updated firmware #. Does it update any of the games or saves that are already on the SD. Or should this be installed fresh and then ad the game files after. It's been a couple years since I did any update so I don't remember and believe I don't get any barcode pop-up when I start mine (may have some lag or something with the TV)
  5. Why not? My 600XL only outputs RF, and it looks fine.
  6. For a hefty price. Too much for me unfortunately the last box I need.
  7. You probably corrupted the menu in the 8k IC on U9, don't know if you've lost the data in the other memory IC's, you can try reloading just the ROS without formatting the card again and see if it will recover. But be prepared to reload the complete ramdisk @InsaneMultitasker and others would have much more knowledge here.
  8. Turtles will still be in school, so he and I can't come down there in June. Unfortunately, as he wants to visit Texas. . .
  9. Been BETA-testing the new (unreleased) firmware I can confirm: No more failed USB transfers (Hooray!) An EEPROM save is now created correctly when a file is sent via USB (Hooray again!!) and.......
  10. Note that the D9K is a suitable sub for the 1N34A. I use it because the D9K is always on-spec for the uses we put it to, unlike pretty much every 1N34A that's been on the market since the early 1990s (definitely not a new problem here).
  11. Oh now I went and did it… the MENU for the working 4000B associated numbering on the items is corrupted or something got changed. There is probably an easy fix rather than reload my whole RAM disk (if necessary I’ll wait until I get the other card sorted out first) but the numbers all look scrambled and the text at the bottom doesn’t look quite right. Any thoughts? IMG_3216.mov Hopefully this is an easy one to correct. While the thoughts are pouring in here is some TI midi master ‘classic’ tune to enjoy. IMG_3215.mov
  12. Can't have plastic lids anymore, and just like the paper straws, it's worse with hot coffee after a few slips it becomes soggy and you start to taste bits of it in your drink.
  13. Quite impressive I have to say. Your compiler has been a boon to program development in XB on the TI as demonstrated by the sheer number and quality of new games developed with it by the likes of @Retrospect and @Cheung among others.
  14. Also the fire buttons were reversed for the 7800 mode if I’m not mistaken. So the one button 7800 games couldn’t be played using the controller that came with the console. Again that was corrected. Again should have been spotted and corrected before the official release.
  15. Her would be your six diodes in the upper right central of the schematic
  16. I could not find badlands.chd anywhere (goes with kbadlands.zip), but I got area51 to load in decent time in Windows, so I tried it on GSP using mame2003-plus, it seemed to load in an acceptable amount of time also, however the audio and play was choppy as expected, but not nearly as bad as my attempts at playing 3DO games. The available cores for 3DO just do not perform well with that hardware. I could play the area51 game (that has a chd with it in its subfolder), but it was not ideal. I imagine you'd be pumping plenty of quarters/tokens into the machine to play this for very long. It was difficult to use my analog xbox controller stick for aiming. I have my GSP going through a capture device into an old laptop with OBS at this time, a sample screenshot.
  17. SIO2SD setup instructions by philsan... ENGLISH SETUP (firmware v3.1) Format an SD card (FAT 12, 16 or 32 file system) Copy into it sio2sdv35.xex that you find into SIO2SD website inside Configurator_3.5.zip and rename it sio2sd.xex Make a folder named Atari Put into that folder your ATR or XEX files Insert SD card into SIO2SD Turn on computer On SIO2SD double press SHIFT button (grey button on SIO2SD Micro/PC Combo) "CFG TOOL mode" will appear on the LCD display Press K1 button (Drive button on SIO2SD Micro) to enter "cfgtool mode:" With K2 button (File button on SIO2SD Micro) select "every startup" Press K3 button (ESC button on SIO2SD Micro) Press K1 button (Drive button on SIO2SD Micro) to go to "topdrive mode" With K2 button (File button on SIO2SD Micro) set it to "off" Turn off computer Turn on computer In this way every time you turn on your Atari the on-screen menu will be loaded. To have SD card files sorted, use DriveSort, a nice Windows application. ON-SCREEN LOADER INSTRUCTIONS (v3.5) ARROWS/JOYSTICK select file .xex or disk image .atr KEYS 1-8 mount selected file/image into drives 1-8 CTRL+T lets you toggle between real drives / virtual drives ESC climb directory tree X (long press) restart computer with selected images RETURN/FIRE enter directory/load file/disk image While loading programs that don't need Basic, keep pressed OPTION key for a few seconds When you leave on-screen loader, you can swap disk images from real drives to virtual drives pressing SIO2SD's SHIFT button + K3 button (grey button + Esc button on SIO2SD Micro). Those are basic instructions only. SIO2SD on-screen loader has many other features. Moreover, thanks to LCD display and buttons, all those operations can be done without on-screen loader (you can even create disk images).
  18. Even though I am not currently working on this project - i will complete my work on the IntelliStick, first - I have been thinking about this issue recently. so I have printed this: It fits right nicely into the case: Fully installed:
  19. I’m using the 32K option with both chips installed. I have an internal card that I can throw in and remove the optional chips to see if that might make a difference… I’m running on a TI. Both transistors are flat side toward the bottom. Thank you for the helpful advice and tips on trying before and for the schematic diagrams and manual links. I’m wondering where the six (Russian style) diodes are in the schematic? It is not evident or are they elsewhere and not depicted. Also k did get clarification that the schematic calls out 30uF tantalum and that they are indeed 10uF

  21. You can find the SIO2SD configurator versions for download here: http://www.sio2sd.org/software_atari/index.html the SIO2SD firmware is there: http://www.sio2sd.org/software_avr/index.html Newest firmware is V3.3, newest configurator is V3.5. But as said before, I am using the newest firmware 3.3 with an old configurator 2x. The firmware must be flashed, the configurator can simply be copied onto the SD-card, into the root dir and MUST BE named SIO2SD.XEX (the root dir must contain a folder named ATARI, this Atari folder should contain more folders and/or ATR images). Find attached some firmware (BIN), some configurators (rename one of the XEX files into SIO2SD.XEX) and my config file. One can also put the configurators onto an ATR image (that boots the XEX files with a gamedos) and boot this ATR image, so one can always choose between different configurators. With my crt tv the menu letters (A-Z) of the configurators 2.5 and 3.5 did not fully appear on the screen (too far on the left, thus only half of the letter was there), thats why I am using version 2x, which does not show this problem on my old tv. Sio2SD_35.xex SIO2SD.BIN SIO2SD.CFG sio2sd_2x.xex
  22. Haven't used Star Wars the Arcade Game recently, but I read you could use this cartridge for calibration as well.
