  2. I'm fairly sure you meant color blasting, right? ********* Snow White: Happily Ever After What's this? A beloved Disney/Capcom collaboration that slipped under the radar? No actually. Made by Imagitec and released in '94 as a NA exclusive, this one is based on the 1989 Filmation movie, though it's clearly a sequel to the Disney film. I guess as the story is public domain, they were able to use it however they wanted. The game itself is a colorful collect-a-thon geared for the younger folk and of course a platformer. As per the target audience, the difficulty level is on the easier side. It seems to be a pretty decent one with two playable characters and warping points inside levels, so you can collect, collect and collect some more.
  3. 15320. I am trying other levels at the bottom is a difficult one.
  4. @Ben from Plaion should know about this (and hopefully fix it soon). If the problem is not bad emulation but caused by a bad image as @www.atarimania.com suggests, I am happy to supply a working Diaperboy crack.
  5. No it doesn't. It starts on a stock 130XE and does not start at all on the Mini with 130XE config. If you don't remember, then know that things like this should be verified first before making any false claims.
  6. This concern has become true here. A few times I didn't pay attention to the power status of my old Atari and pulled out the cartridge while the Atari was still on. I was very lucky to see that it didn't cause any problems to my beloved 42 yo retro hardware. Perhaps my brain reacted to "no atari sign led" and thought my 4 switch woody might be off. 🫤
  7. Version 1.06 of C64OS has been released! This version has some new utilities including "Visualizer." 9. How rare is this game as one is on eBay and the seller claims only about 80 of these were ever made. Is this an accurate number or did William Thorup actually release this game in higher numbers than that. It’s one of those games I’d totally forgotten ever got released but would be interested to add to my collection but did wonder about it’s rarity. Another important question is how good is it - I’m guessing it’s pretty much a generic Flappy Birds game or is there more to it?
  10. Doesn't The Top 3 require some larger amounts of RAM? I do not remember, but things like this should be verified first before making any failure claims.
  11. Oh, hard to be absolutely sure because I own this adapter since the old PS2 days. But I guess it is from Speedlink. A simple jack with 50cm usb cable. It is perfect for my windows computer, C64 mini/maxi, retropie and 400 mini.
  12. I recently purchased Submarine Attack that was mentioned on AA (in the Game Gear topic I guess, since it tends to make for the Master System one), and I'm currently eyeing a copy of Alex Kidd in Shinobi World that's not too expensive. I have a soft spot for the SMS since it was my first console (not my first video game system though, but the ST belonged to my brother), but I try to remain objective since it clearly didn't get as many great games as the NES. It still got quite a few gems, some of them being exclusive (or only available on the Game Gear).
  13. Stella supports the SaveKey functionality, but not the voice output. This will most likely not change anytime soon, since the speak output chip is still copyrighted. Which includes the data used for speech generation. But since 2600+ unfortunately is based on RetroArch/Libretro and these support only limited functionality of Stella, the SaveKey will not work too. Same with other controllers, like keypad/touchpad or trackballs. If that will ever change is completely open, because that's mostly up the RetroArch/Libretro developers. Alternatively Atari/Plaion could decide to use Stella directly. Then all controllers (again except AtariVox speak) would be supported by Stella.
  14. Hi, some very very initial informations about files' reading. We didn't test much for now (the comp came just yesterday, in the evening) but this regular ATR didn't start at all: https://a8.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=3708 It just goes back to the carousel. Which is a problem, as this particular ATR disk image uses standard, system sector reading procedures, so it is 100% compatible with the OS architecture. For example, it boots without any problems on real Atari XL/XE hardware, from HDD interfaces (IDE Plus, etc.) So it would have to be corrected. If the above issue is refined, then RetroGames should consider supporting less standard images, e.g.: https://a8.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=3633 Please add more examples of files that don't work, to help guys from RG to determine and resolve the issue. I will try to make more tests soon, but that's what we know at first. Regards. Y
  15. It can be done, yes, I have VLM running, but I haven’t actually fed audio cd’s into it as yet.
  16. Me neither. These little screws easily strip out the plastic thread, so it needs to be tightened by hand very gently. I wouldn't go anywhere near any A8 keyboard with these tiny screws with a battery screwdriver. Once stripped it's game over potentially.
  17. Is this just bad emulation or the result of choosing a dodgy file for the system? If it's the latter, that's clearly unacceptable. The fact .atx files don't show up makes me fear the worst.
  18. I just double checked my USB power plug, it's 2A and works fine with the 400 mini.
  19. Great work! Minor suggestion: it would look good if you changed the background color to the sky color below the visible screen. That way the upper overscan area would be sky colored.
  20. That set is - but I have yet to collect the Sunday strips.
  21. To anyone who has noticed these directional errors with the controls: Have you perhaps saved in between? I once had a corrupt savegame in Flip & Flop, where the phenomenon with the wrong direction also occurred. No matter how many times I loaded. Otherwise the game works perfectly.
  22. I can't speak for future builds, but I can confirm that the AtariVox is currently unsupported by the 2600+. There is no speech output (aside from boot up) and high scores are not retained. I've tested this with Juno First on older builds as well as T:ME Salvo on all builds.
