+Charlie Cat
Hi Guys: Back with the NES, it looks like Sanyo, Panasonic VCR to me instead of a Black & Decker Front Toaster Oven. Anthony....
Vic George 2K3
When I think of ugly, one of the proposed case designs for the never-released Infinium Labs' Phantom is definitely my picture of ugly.

aftermac
Hi Guys: I never saw that system before. What is it? Anthony... It's an Apple Pippin. Apple was on the verge of releasing it in the mid-90's, but pulled it at the last minute. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Pippin

How much does the pippin go for on the Electronic Collecting Market? Anthony....

JamesD
To be honest I think most game systems were ugly. I couldn't stand the 2600, Odessey, Intellivision, Colecovision, NES, Super-NES, N64, Jaguar, Sega anything, CD32, Gamecube and the oversized XBox. None of the computers masquerading as a game machine looked good. I wanted the ApeXtreme to come out but didn't completely care for it. Anything that looked like a stereo component wasn't bad but somehow that was never popular. Things have gotten much better. The original PS2 was ok, the slimline PS2 is nice looking, the Wii is cool and the 360 is nice but I'd prefer smaller. I'm still trying to decide if I love or hate the PS3 but it's definitely better than old systems. Manufacturers finally figured out that adults buy game systems. Cheap looking purple or black plastic and ugly fake woodgrain doesn't cut it anymore.
A.J. Franzman
am i the only one not seeing a picture?I didn't see it either. I googled it: http://www.computercloset.org/ViewMasterIn...ctiveVision.htm *Innocently clicks link*........GAAAHHH Good Lord my eeeeyyyeeesss. I'll add a vote for the ViewMaster InteractiveVision. If we were limited to the more popular systems, I would split my vote between Intellivision and ColecoVision. Edited February 10, 2008 by A.J. Prodos8
I would split my vote between Intellivision and ColecoVision.Certainly you jest? Those two look almost as good as the 2600/VCS. Those look very pleasing to me. I'd say many modern gaming systems look far worse.

Vic George 2K3
The Pippin machine looks rather comical, like a machine shaped around somebody's posterior. The SuperGrafx machine looks like it belongs in some Army & Navy surplus store. Edited February 10, 2008 by Vic George 2K3

That definitely tops the ugly list... at least most other machines had a reasonable attempt at a controller.

Hi Guys: I still figure that "Intellivision" by Mattel Electronics is one of the few cool, sleek, & inspirational designs out there. I'm astounded to hear on how others feal out it. Anthony... Video
I liked most systems, but.... The Turbographics, what's with the cheap ass big box hiding the power and AV componants in back? Though the Genesis 3 console looked downright uggly to me. I liked how the 1 and 2 looked though....
