+Philsan
Finaly I had the chance to try this game on real hardware, PAL computer + Commodore 1084S monitor (last model produced). You know I was a little scared by Bunsen posts... When I saw title screen I said: "He is right, it really flickers too much on CRT screens!". But actually the game doesn't flicker very much so no problems with my eyes (the problem is with my thumb!).

tjlazer
This one might be better for the AtariMax carts;) Edited July 13, 2011 by tjlazer
Rybags
That's pretty cool... but the game code within the cart has nothing to do with Sega.
Heaven/TQA
Rybags... but the Brand, the msx score, the gfx, the design...
Rybags
Sure, but even then I doubt they registered a copyright on it this year. Best bet is to not mention them at all.
Heaven/TQA
yup. I would leave it at all as everybody knows the game...
Rybags
Same here. And if any legal crap comes up, the Sergeant Shultz approach is much better than giving ammunition by acknowledging that you've produced a clone of someone elses copyrighted game without asking them first. Sheddy
Sure, but even then I doubt they registered a copyright on it this year. Best bet is to not mention them at all. I tend to agree. The label looks really good though
Rybags
Actually, wasn't it the box art that doesn't exist... I thought Sal had a label worked out for the saleable ones.
flashjazzcat
Asking for problems putting the copyright notice on the label, IMO. Game looks amazing, by the way. A fantastic achievement.
Marius
That's easy for you to say, you're a rabbit. :-P As far as I can see it... he is a Squirrel. And about the GAME: OH MY GOD! How fabulous does this all look. And WHY in the world.. WHY didn't I order a bunch of these 8Mbit carts? I have 10 (TEN!) 1Mbit flash cards from AtariMax. And I am used to buy a lot of atari stuff.... and none of the 8Mbit ... aargh I also wanted Summergames on a cart... also 8Mbit needed. But man... how cool looks this all. Kudoos for the author! Kjmann
Well, Here is the front of a box design I did. I'm still working on the back. I will post it when I'm done. High Res Version Click Here
popmilo
First of all - great game! speed is awesome! Sheddy  I had a quick play around in the Altirra debug with this... ... Saw one block of code executing with lots of consecutive STYs (brute force "CPU blit" ) ... Any reason why is it STY ? I bet Sheddy had a good reason, but what was it ? +Philsan
Well, Here is the front of a box design I did. I'm still working on the back. I will post it when I'm done. High Res Version Click Here Thank you Sal. I don't understand why you wrote "ALSO PLAYS ON ALL XE AND XL COMPUTER SYSTEMS" when in the upper part you wrote "ATARI XL VIDEO GAME CARTRIDGE". I think those words maked sense in the original Atari boxes because they were for XE Gaming System and in the upper part was written "ATARI XE VIDEO GAME CARTRIDGE". Therefore I would remove the word "ALSO".
MEtalGuy66
So is someone gonna make an XE SUPERCART binary? I really dont fancy the idea of buying another atarimax cart, when Ive got like 12 Bughunt carts laying around here that could easily be modified to use a 27C080.. I'd be real happy if someone did this. I'd even do a "write-up" on exactly how to mod the cart, so others could benefit..
Marius
@MetalGuy66 100% agree. Good idea too, and I'm sure it's like a dream coming out for those BugHunt carts to be upgraded to this fabulous game.
Rybags
"Plays on all XL systems" isn't quite right... it needs 64K. More appropriate would be to just call it an XE cart and say "Also plays on 64K or more XL systems".
Rybags
Someone at ABBUC has a download for a patched version for MegaMax cart. Weird though, that cart is supposed to have a 100% AtariMax compatible mode anyway. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fabbuc.de%2FphpBB3%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ff%3D3%26t%3D6146

Other 8K area is RAM and used as such...unlike XEGS
Sheddy
Chris, Congratulations on the big release. After you spend enough time on a project it starts to feel like it will never be completely ready and you just have to kick it out of the nest. Also, don't take anything anyone complains about too seriously. This is one of the most impressive pieces of A8 software ever and it doesn't need defending. Bryan, that is so true! And thanks, that's good advice
