SlowCoder
Due to all of the "Post your 2600 Heavy/Light/4-switch Consoles Here" threads, I've decided to just post my whole 2600 console collection, with pictures and information in this thread, then I will add a post in each of the other respective threads. At this time, I have no plans to bring any more 2600s to my home for collection purposes. I do not have any Jrs, as I am not interested in collecting them as a console ... That is, unless one happens to fall into my lap. I also don't collect boxes to just sit on my shelves. I prefer to find old "beaters" and try to revive them. I like to rotate my consoles out periodically so each of them get some play time. I take great pride in cleaning and refurbishing these consoles, and bringing some of them back from the dead. Except for the "for parts" ones, they are all cleaned to the "T", and fully functional. In some cases they may be touched up around the bezel. If you're interested, see my thread about cleaning consoles. Let's begin with my 2600 Heavy Sixers: #1: My Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer "Vader H6" Functional Status: 100% Visual Status: Awesome! Manufacture Location: Sunnyvale, CA Serial#: 86491L Channel Switch: No Video Type: NTSC Whereabouts: Florida, USA Modifications: Visual. Wood grain and bezel trim paint removed due to suffering condition. #2: Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer Functional Status: 100% Visual Status: Good (minor scratches/missing paint) Manufacture Location: Sunnyvale, CA Serial#: 26240G Channel Switch: No Video Type: NTSC Whereabouts: Florida, USA Modifications: None #3: Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer Functional Status: Nonfunctional/for parts Visual Status: Bad (scratches/missing paint) Manufacture Location: Sunnyvale, CA Serial#: 91937E Channel Switch: No Video Type: NTSC Whereabouts: Florida, USA Modifications: None #4: Sears 2600 Heavy Sixer Functional Status: 100% Visual Status: Excellent Manufacture Location: Sunnyvale, CA Serial#: 67565T Channel Switch: No Video Type: NTSC Whereabouts: Florida, USA Modifications: None #5: Sears 2600 Heavy Sixer Functional Status: 100% Visual Status: Excellent Manufacture Location: Sunnyvale, CA Serial#: 16302S Channel Switch: No Video Type: NTSC Whereabouts: Florida, USA Modifications: None * This particular console has a green cartridge port. Apparently these green ports are hard to come by, because they were easily worn/broken. When owners would have their consoles repaired, the green connectors were replaced with newer (usually white) connectors. * There is an engraving on the bottom of this console. It says "11/30/81 7204". Edited May 5, 2012 by SlowCoder
