The_Great_Mutato
NES Nintendo World Championship Cart, currently at $5,500. That ripped label and item description has me a bit dubious. http://www.ebay.com/itm/221357006206 I saw a CNET article on this earlier today. In the comments section, there was one, impassioned commenter stating that this particular copy is well-known to NES collectors due to the damage and "mario" written on it. It's over $10K now. During my lunchtime searches, I came across a HUGE 2600 collection for sale in Minnesota on craigslist: https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/vgm/4288687614.html Update: If the bidding on the Nintendo World Championship cart is real, this just set the record for most expensive game ever sold. Currently over $90K!!! Edited January 25, 2014 by The_Great_Mutato

In fact, it didn't sell at all because the buyers all backed out. One did sell for $17,500 in the wake of that auction though and this new one may go for close to that....maybe. The collection on Craigslist is nothing special. I can see a few semi-rare games. Basic Math, Crash Dive, Back to School Pak, Racing Pak, Miner 2049, two Playaround games.
