Nice! Thank you.

From your excel we can tell:

- 194 registered computers, of which 110 are from USA, 84 Taiwanese.

- 122 unique owners

High Rollers:

Guitarman 11

bob1200xl 8

yorgle 7

oracle_jedi 6

charliecron 5

Karl 5

Larry 4

I think Bob is holding back on us ;) . Surely he has more than 8 1200XL's.

as a side note

would anyone be interested if i expanded the spreadsheet with additional tabs to cover Indus GTs, Ranas, 800XEs, uncommon XLs, XF551s and other less common hardware?

Can someone please post how the selling figures I read in the FAQ at Atarimania (105.000) are computed? Just the sum of the highest serial numbers of both production lines? If so, how do you know if the serial numbers given by Atari are consecutive numbers? The list of post one in this thread does not contain any consecutive numbers (at least I couldn't locate any). I am pretty sure Atari tried everything to obfuscate the real sales figures. So I suppose there may be also some gaps - that even may vary on a daily or weekly basis - between serial numbers of computers that have been produced the same day. Any opinions?

looks like kheller2 - the OP not around since May 2015.

is he ok?

Is it worth updating this thread manually?

I'm around... I just don't get the time to hang out here as much as used to. I'll update the sheets and send out an attachment as well.

Sometime... soon...

Hi

i genuinely wasn't trying to step on your toes - just keeping it up to date.

i don't know if my latest attachment - Jan 29th (above) is any use to you - but it looks like there's only been one addition and 2 out since then

Hello, everyone!

First-time poster here, although I've been trying to read up on the 1200XL and am considering modding some/all of them.

I just finished going through the thread to verify whether I had any not yet listed, and didn't see them.

Please put me down for the following 4 1200XLs (a fifth will arrive next week, and I'll check it against the existing list before posting the serial for that one as well):

72R DA 20861 233 (Taiwan)

72R DA 20079 233 (Taiwan)

72R DA 21198 233 (Taiwan) (Arrived with Chroma fixed. Unsure of any other mods until I open her up.)

83S DA 014844 113 (USA)

All were purchased from eBay. Two arrived with bad keyboards, one came with a repaired keyboard, and one arrived with a fully working keyboard. The one on its way has been given the recommended baseline modifications (restored Y/C and 5V, and did an OS upgrade (to Rev 11 OS)

I only found this thread after I had wrapped up the keyboard repairs but I'll be opening all of them up to decide which one to install Lotharek's Ultimate 1MB. When I do, I'll look for the motherboard info and post that as well.

Thank you, in advance, for the add!

--Tim

Opened each up. The Taiwan models are all DA 233 RevA. The USA model didn't have the sticker, but if the stamp on the LED panel is representative, then it at least tells me that its a Rev2A. Otherwise, where else can I look for the info?

I found this one in a trash pile years ago with a bunch of other Atari stuff, including an 800 and an 810 with a bunch of disks. I remember seeing the Fuji when I booted it up for the first time and thinking how cool that was. I wish I had some way to keep the serial number label from deteriorating any more :-(
