But at least it's a game very well-suited for keyboard controls - since I expect few people to have the original hard- and software. Nice that you can at least cross the border of the screen... You mentioned two decisions I made ... karokoenig Posted February 29, 2016 Share Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) Fun and challenging. Really need to be strategic in the later levels if you want to have a chance to cross the street. I like that the collision detection is a little less unforgiving than on the 2600 when you jump into the niches on top. (edit): Finally managed to survive long enough for the game to switch back to bearable difficulty on the road. Not sure if there's a 1up every 10k or every 20k. In the former case... DAMN!!! karokoenig Posted March 1, 2016 Share Posted March 1, 2016 I think I have reached my limit now. Had a very good run and had 4 lives left when the first traffic slowdown happened. Kept my concentration, mostly, and reached my goal of cracking 30k. Then, in relatively moderate traffic I was chilling on the fourth lane while waiting for a gap between trucks, when those cars chose exactly THAT moment to go to lightspeed. I didn't have 1/10 second to react. Lost my two remaining lives trying to find a rhythm for crossing the street... Nonetheless, I'm happy.
