I found my photo of former Atari Corp. Here it is the photo.

And pay attention to the stamp of date & time when I took a picture at front Atari Corp Blgs. Noticed there are prefect Atari Fiji Logo within the buildings itself !!!

What I have been talking about - is not entirely unrelated to things Atari. The scenario of Star Raiders or Defender could have taken place several times in the past on Earth and elsewhere in our solar system - and will most probably be played out again - in our future or far flung future?

Christopher Dunn and others have gone around ancient sites - highlighting artefacts which have the appearance of being 'machined' to them. They are solid immovable objects as such - with sharp straight edges, finely polished glass like surfaces - like the 24 ancient 100 Ton Stone Boxes Of The Serapeum. Most are just plain - a couple? have some hieroglyphics on them - but they are so badly scratched - that they can't be done by those who manufactured these stone boxes. These are at Youtube - if you had the money - no doubt you can go on tours which highlight them - and see if you believe the common accepted view of how they were built? Or simply say no - stone pounders could not have been used, nor copper chisels to produce these objects, etc. Some of these artefacts are simply discarded debris lying around - exposed to the elements and so on - and so, amongst the rubbish lying around - these artefacts defy explanation....

True geniuses are not recognised for what they are - were. Tesla is a supreme example of this. Was he crazy in his later years or not?

People are starting to acknowledge Tesla for what he contributed to our modern life - but in earlier decades - he wasn't.

Viktor Shauberger is the Tesla of water - if Viktor's work is recognised - the power of water would be fully realised.

John Hutchinson is another genius of sorts - but more of an experimenter - he does things which seem to be impossible. His work should be repeated in universities etc - instead of being ignored.

Anything to do with UFO, aliens - ancient advanced technology etc - is firmly linked with science fiction - and is not regarded as part of our own history and present day, etc.

Yet Christopher Dunn goes around with his metal ruler pointing out artefacts in Egypt - which simply cannot be created with copper chisels and stone pounders, etc. An aerospace engineer who highlights sharp straight edges and finely polished surfaces - which defy explanation.

Use your own brain to work out - what is real and what is not real? Don't go simply with what is accepted by the masses. Do your own research, do your own observations - go by your own life experiences etc.

WoOoW!!! What an unexpected (and rather intriguing) turn of events, here!

Considering that you are the author of Atari Blast (which I believe is the contemporary "tour de force" for our 8-bit platform), I just wanted to share my opinion, quickly:

1. I do understand where you may be coming from, or at least your main idea. I have come across many, many anecdotes, depictions, garbage, gossip, etc., on this topic but there are two (2) specific cases that really, really stand out in my database of weird stuff:

  • A) The Mitchell-Hedges Quartz-crystal Skull, which was taken to HP's Crystal Lab, and, against all odds and available technology, folks there concluded that such artifact SHOULD NOT exist. Quartz was abraded ("mono-block") against its structural axle (which means it would be brittle and break), and no signs of metal-abrasion used... yet the work is of exquisite quality, craftmanship and really, really stands out above anything else out there. It would take entire days and night, and multiple generations of labor, for 300 years, approx. to get something like this:
  • B) This video, released by Mexican AirForce, over Campeche area (circa 2004/2005), in which you will see MORE THAN ELEVEN bizarre things, flying next to them, caught on the FLIR infrared camera, and swinging between 60mph to 320+mph like they were walking in the park. Among the strangest thing I have ever seen (I perfectly understand spanish, I know what they are saying and their audible astonishment):
    • (shortcut to visual encounter)
    • (COMPLETE, uncut footage, original Aspect Ratio of recording, you can jump to 13":00secs, and then 16"00:secs... Watch / listen if you speak / understand Spanish).

2. Now, going back to topic, many innovations (like the integrated Circuit) and for which we have plenty of recorded work and testimony, are FOR SURE not coming from space, but right from here, as the result of ingenuity and hard work of folks like Robert Noyce and several other folks, like the inventor of the transistor, John Bardeen, which later deemed the integrated circuit as transcendental as the wheel itself.

Cheers!

I know at the topic of weird subject matter and ideas - is not everyone's cup of tea -but such people are not fully aware of how much rubbish ideas are promoted for the public to believe in - all cultures do this - and the powers that be, in the world. Religions do this all the time, royalties and their like - and institutions also do this - promote that which keeps their power base intact and would not promote/endorse anything that weakens their 'authority'. This self protection and self endorsement, self promotion etc means that they are not reliable sources of knowledge.

There are certain subjects I have looked into - and am not convinced there is anything substantial there - to warrant interest in - that it's more fiction, imagination etc than fact - such as the idea of crystal skulls being very special. I agree that the Mitchell-Hedges skull does look fantastic - and it's beyond an ordinary person to imagine how could an artisan produce this? But the story is given that there is a European country known for rock crystal carving - my memory forget which country it was? Such that it's not unusual for beginner sculptors to try their hand at carving a human skull in rock crystal - although they tend to specialise in animals.

It's only recently I've become aware of how fantastic sculptors can be - work done in the 17th? or so century of white marble - of a figure with a fishing net - Il Disinganno, statue of a fisherman being released from a net by an angel - how can this net be sculptured?

The subject of UFOs is always an interesting one. I like to point out the 1956 book - The Case For the UFO by M K Jessup. M K Jessup became tied up with the so-called Philadelphia Experiment - which I think is more fiction than anything else. That this book is more interesting than the Philadelphia Experiment story - then there is the story of the Annotated Edition of The Case For the UFO - which you can now download scans of. Back in the late 70s' - I ordered my copy from Gray Barker.

Colonel Corso's claim is that he gave out pieces of so-called crashed UFO pieces to various people to reverse engineer. You would guess that he would not have said - where it came from - and exactly who got to examine and dissect these artefacts is anyone's guess - that it would be a select few... Building anything from viewing these artefacts - would be a feat in itself - so whether they viewed such material or not - they still deserve full credit for starting the semiconductor industry and building the first ICs, transistor and so on...

I am still intrigued by how did the Germans come up with such revolutionary designs in their wonder weapons - when you compare what ideas the Allies had for new wonder weapons - the Germans far outclass them in practical ideas and ingenuity, etc. No doubt someone will say - that the Americans worked on the one that really counted - the Atomic Bomb. The Germans could not make progress on this. The Japanese were working on their own - but was not that advanced. But then the full story should come out - that the US builders of this weapon - did not want it to be used at all - that the military wanted to use it - and did. Also that the Russians could not have built their own - were it not for Americans who wanted the Russians to also have da bomb - rather than for the US to have it solely.

I really don't understand why some people get so uptight (and even high emotional) when talking about weird and wonderful subject matter. Some subjects ought to be shot down - for how silly/ridiculous/etc they really are - but others (which sound as weird initially) do stand up to examination and thought. I tend to lose interest in such subjects which end up being fiction and of the imagination - instead of being genuine and insightful into our own history/etc.

With AtariBlast! - I was only the graphics designer for it. I did not input the original specs for it - but very glad that it did incorporate so much graphics and animation present throughout it.

When it comes to critical thinking, a term often used on Above Top Secret (a site I hope Harvey subscribes to) I myself have a little thing I use that I call 'war gaming', whenever there a serious issue that requires me to have to address it I sit and try and work out the possible outcomes so if I am having to answer I have already presumed what could happen, its incredibly useful but incredibly taxing on the head, its probably related to OCD but there have been times when its been the difference between winning or losing a case.

The term war gaming comes from the film War Games where the computer tries to work out the feasibility of war and its outcomes.

As for UFO's they exist, what they are I have no clue..

But dragging this kicking and screaming back on topic, I would have LOVED to visit Atari in the day, imagine watching these guys working on Star Raiders etc while mostly out of their skulls on drugs, would have been a wild day...(no drugs for me thank you)...

Seriously, just to be there when it all started, now that's a proper buzz...

I seriously doubt that Nazi preoccupation with the occult went much beyond Hitler believing in homeopathic medicine anywhere outside Hollywood. All those strange weapons were born out of desperation on the losing side of the war. As for the jet engine, there was a little more institutional interest than elsewhere that allowed for it to reach operational status before the war ended. Had the Germans really dug up some ancient secrets they would probably have had better answers to allied bombing and general materials superiority.

Apparently Hitler and his main team were seriously in to the occult, they found a chamber where the Bell device was being made where it was kitted out in a fully occult worshipping manner...Very weird, Himmler was aslo a nut on the stuff..

Makes interesting reading, lots of video's out there too...Of course there's many that are simply made up but there's a few that take it all seriously and really researched him and the Nazi's.

Plenty of good threads on Above Top Secret...

Anyway, that my of topic quota for the week...

I was wondering if there is a collection of photos showing the inner workings of the buildings that Atari occupied, especially in the early days when Nolan was still a part of it all?

Side Note: DOS 3 got infected with the Independence Day virus thanks to Will Smith ;)

Although that's pretty cool in itself, still wondering if there were any good interior shots?

Unless you can find some real estate advertisements showing the interior spaces, I highly doubt that anyone would have bothered to take pictures of random offices. Even today, how many photographs can you find online of the interior of a specific office building?

The only source that I can think of would be promotional-type material showing the happy employees hard at work. I've seen a handful of published photographs like this for e.g. Nintendo, published in EGM. There may exist something similar for Atari; I have never actually looked for them.

I've seen a few on Youtube for Atari. I seem to recall one having something to do with it being a holiday, like Christmas or something. I don't remember it being anything very interesting, just some smiling people at their desks, piddling with this or that. I do remember one that had something to do with R&D, somewhere up north (nowhere near Sunnyvale). I can't remember if that was a video or pictures or maybe both.

The Alien Monolith, in the foreground, conveys indisputable proof that Atari had Alien Technology. It was all code... Twisted Sister was going on about this object, back in the 80s. It is clear from their Alien dress that they were merely ambassadors, trying to get a message across to the initiated. All else is Naysay.

OmG !!! I actually missed this one...

I am not sure what to make of this bizarre show of (talent?), even if I understand every word that is pronounced there... but if they were coming to the U.S., they better bring bullet-proof vests... 8-)))

I went over to the old Atari locations back in 2005, I did get a couple of through the window shots of the reception area but they had some kind of weird film on the windows so it wasn't possible to get GREAT photos...
