SS
I'm trying to make a MaxFlash or Mega cart containing all of the A8 Space Invaders variations and clones. So far I have : Apple Invaders Atari Invaders Deluxe Invaders Deluxe Invaders SFX hack Quick Invaders Space Binvaders Space Invaders (Atari official) Space Invaders 5200 Can anyone think of any others that I am missing? Thanks.
+Nezgar
Variations? How about stuff like Gorf, Galaxian, Megamania come to mind. Lots of other shoot from the bottom of the screen type games...
Gunstar
Last night I was just playing a variation of Galaga or Moon Cresta or something along those lines called HyperBlast! and it's pretty damn good! (at least with my rapid fire, i'm too old to be button mashing anymore) The description puts it in the Space invaders genre. I love the warp between levels and the colorful and detailed ship and enemies, and it's FAST. SS
Good ideas but I've already made a "Gorf/Galaxian/Galaxian-clone" cart. This time I'm trying to focus just on "Space Invaders" type games. Granted, "Quick Invaders" *is* a bit of a stretch... Gunstar
Did XXL do a port? Or is that what Apple Invaders is? Or maybe and emulation like Asteroids arcade emulator?
SS
Did XXL do a port? Or is that what Apple Invaders is? Or maybe and emulation like Asteroids arcade emulator? Yes. It looks like "Apple Invaders" is an Apple ][ port by XXL. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-apple-invaders_25100.html
Keatah
Well there is sperm invaders. And the two versions of 8-bit space invaders - the one with and the one without the rocketship on the left side of the screen. Each has a different set of invaders/sprites.

Mclaneinc
The Roklan invader game? Or is that listed already.. By the way OP, when you do make this car file, any chance of posting it along with any others please? _The Doctor__
I think we can assume Deluxe Invaders is Roklan...
+therealbountybob
Note Xuel's Deluxe Invaders hack has a nice added feature where you can use manual firing (press A to toggle) this makes play more involved. Apple Invaders would easily be the best version if the code could be tweaked to slow it down a bit when there is only 1 invader left
Mclaneinc
Thanks Doc, forgot Deluxe was the Roklan one.....Old head... And yes, the Apple one is amazing playable, really nice port over, screams shoot em up construction set but actually is a really nice game.. As for Atari's awful version, I don't know the back story but surely a license from Taito for a real version could have been had...

SS
Thank you, may I ask for the Galaxian one you made as well Here it is. It's not nearly as interesting though. Maybe I should think about redoing it with some Moon Cresta/Megamania type games added like Gunstar suggested. Bunsen
Have a look at Invaders (10Liner by Vitoco) and Minimalinvasiv (10Liner by Flo). Amazing stuff in only 10 lines of BASIC... http://gkanold.wixsite.com/homeputerium/games-list-2017 http://gkanold.wixsite.com/homeputerium/single-post/2016/03/26/Invaders
