just got a nice screen protector for my iPad mini. After taking about 40 min to assure not air bubbles or dust were present I managed to apply it, very pleased with result. Best of all with the stylus has a little drag now and matte finish so not so smooth like on glass, feels more like paper. Tested to make sure, hey I’m no pro but it’s honest art at least 😛to be fair I used the simplest drawing program, no layers or magnification, literally the same as drawing with colored pencils so I am pleased. At least I can make something without a reference. 🤷🏼‍♂️

If it took 40 minutes, it probably was good that you didn't bite your lip in the process.

    • The conspiracy that Sony simply stole the Falcon prototypes design has existed for a while , I don't think they ever payed Atari a single cent for the original PS2 fat design.   Wasn't Atari the one that invented the progenitor of the usb all the way back in the Atari 800 days? Makes sense that the Falcon 040 would have USB ports.
    • Here's a video demonstrating the specific issue in Stella. I execute Stella three times in order to show how the problem TIA variation affects the display   In the first Stella execution, the TIA variation is disabled at the start. The generated TV image is correct. I then enable the TIA variation and press Frame +1 a few times. The TV image is still correct. I believe this shows that this kernel is basically correct but that it there is a moment in the program before I enable the variation that is causing the issue   In the second Stella execution, the TIA variation is enabled from the start. The TV image image is incorrect, just like the real hardware. I then disable the TIA variation and forward a few frames forward. The TV image is still incorrect. This supports the conclusion that the kernel is basically correct and can produce a stable, predictable TV image from frame to frame.   In the third Stella execution, the TIA variation is again enabled from the start. However, before execution I place a breakpoint on the problem HMOVE I identified in my previous post. When the breakpoint is reached, I disable the TIA variation for the duration of the remainder of the scanline. Once the new scanline has been reached (ie. the HMOVE has completed) I reenable the TIA variation. When execution resumes the TV image is correct.   If we assume that Stella correctly emulates the Atari 2600 and the TIA variations related to HMOVE (I strongly believe that it does) then this shows that the problem described in the Eckhard and Mott posts does apply but that it is only significant for that single HMOVE.   In my previous post I showed that the single problem HMOVE does not exist in the "older" moviecart kernel that has been embedded in Stella. The problem therefore, is in the newer kernel that is present in the hardware. The problem is fixable without having to compromise the audio performance.   simplescreenrecorder-2024-03-19_11.07.05.mp4

    • Just replace the RXB 2012 sources files with your current source files before double-clicking "rxb.js".
    • Does anyone use this on Linux, as it's processing HTML, it should work, might try pi my Pi5 later It decodes all sorts of Atari type files, MAC/65 included and has the option to download files from .ATR's etc.   GitHub - pvbestinfoo/Atari_8-Bit_Rom_Image_File_Explorer: Atari 8-bit Rom Image File Explorer based upon ATR Image Explorer
    • That's a HMOVE somewhere in the middle of a scanline, right? (68+130 = 198 = CPU cycle 66). With HMxx = 0 it would still shift 2 pixels left.
