I feel like anyone who claims to work more than two in jobs is full of it. At your primary job, there's times where you are expected to come in early or stay late. Or come in on a day you're normally not scheduled. There's no way you can satisfy the demands of three different companies. The second job will be somewhat lenient with your scheduling if they understand you have a primary job but it's nearly impossible to keep a third job going for any length time where you have to show up at a certain place at a certain time (and still manage to have a life)

Can anybody link me to how the heck crazy climber controls? I have a stick for it, but I'm garbage, and attract mode is zero help.
      1. ZippyOasys

It's a twin-stick arcade game akin to Robotron, one joystick controls the left arm & leg of the climber. Another joystick controls the climber's right arm & leg. Here's a gameplay video from Phosphor Dot Fossils, he explains how the game is controlled as he plays the game.

    • The DOM should help a lot too. I'm nostalgic for the old hard drive sounds, but you just can't beat a 512mb storage capacity on a 386. You can basically load every game you'd possibly want to play on it... and have it load at the fastest speed possible by the processor.
    • If I had to choose, I would go with the blue one.  It reminds me of my brother-in-law’s Lost Luggage game, which is also an Apollo game with a blue label.   Now that I look at them again, I do like the red one too.   They both look great!  Why couldn’t the Atari 7800 labels have looked so cool?   I don’t normally spend too much time stopping to appreciate the labels vs just playing the games, so I appreciate your post making me take a moment to look at the art work in these labels.

    • Hi, I'm wanting to port "la secte noire", a amstrad cpc french game. With Point and click instead of text parser.   As the picture for each screen take some data space, I wish to load files from atr ingame. I look for different solutions without DOS, and looks like xbios is a good way, but I can't make it work.   I download the xBios.atr file at http://xxl.atari.pl/ and use atadim windows tool to load file in atr. I tried with XAUTORUN but have the same result. I have a little icon showing data is reading on floppy. I want to open a file and read data to screen address with xbios_load_data. But the data don't change. I certainly miss something.   When I set $2000 as origin the emulator crash.   You can see my files in atr.     org $3000 screen = $4000 ; Screen buffer blank8 = $70 ; 8 blank lines (overscan) lms = $40 ; Load Memory Scan jvb = $41 ; Jump While Vertical Blank jsr xBIOS_SET_DEFAULT_DEVICE ; no need AtariOS anymore ; Load display list lda #<dlist ; Low ; # Not Useful, recup adresse sta SDLSTL ; $0230 lda #>dlist ; High sta SDLSTL+1; $0231 mva #$1E COLOR0 ; %01 Jaune mva #$b2 COLOR1 ; %10 green mva #$96 COLOR2 ; %11 blue Couleur du texte mva #$00 COLOR4 ; 00 Couleur du fond ldy <fname ldx >fname JSR xBIOS_OPEN_FILE ldy <screen ldx >screen JSR xBIOS_LOAD_DATA jmp * dlist .byte blank8, blank8, blank8 ; Overscan Top .byte $2 + lms, <screen, >screen ; debut affichage et position buffer = 8 scanlines :80 .byte $0D ; 80 * 2 scanlines .byte $42,<hello2, >hello2, 2, 2 ; 3 * 8 scanlines .byte jvb, <dlist, >dlist ; command vbl + address new dlist (Low + High) fname .byte c'village4bin'; 11 characters ATASCII (8.3 without the dot, space padded) hello2 .byte "VOIR EXAMINER PRENDRE PARLER ATTENDRE " .byte "ALLER UTILISER DONNER INV ACTIONNER " icl 'hardware.asm' icl 'xbios.asm' org screen hello .byte " LE BOURG D'ISSEGEAC 09H00" ins 'village2.bin'     Source + atr https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XS1UR6NdPKC-TIrL5njJIk-gzrH7sMgQ/view?usp=sharing

    • Say what you will about the Apple II version but I actually liked it back in the day.  Not only did it look amazing for an Apple II game but the fact that it was so slow meant that my 10 year old self could actually get fairly far into it (I don't think I ever beat it though).  Back before you could compare versions easily I thought it was pretty darn good.  I guess ignorance is bliss   Incidentally Quicksilver Software still exists today.  I can't seem to find it (maybe it's not ready yet) but I was helping Bill Fisher get some box scans for a history section on the website: http://www.quicksilver.com/
    • I couldn’t agree more! I have my original 7800 it works great still but I never use it much. Connecting it to any HDMI TV some game sprites appear very dark making the games unplayable. If I adjust the brightness it just washes out the picture. It’s fine on an old TV but then you have RF interference. I like the clear HDMI picture from the Atari 2600+.   Same here. I like buying and using real carts as well.
