Well, the wife and I don't seem to have jobs at the moment. Shutdowns are like a vacation, except stressful.

I say they do like the other side did, forget cloture, 51 votes carries the day. Enough of the holding everything ransom over unrelated crap to have our way. Hell vote on spending line by line like back in the old day!

The last time we had a partial government shutdown (when I was working for the Army), it was relatively short, and we were paid in arrears, so in the long run it didn't have any effect at all. Just political theater.

I recall. I also recall DoD's shutdown was shortened compared to the rest of the government (wife and I are DoD) But a short time before the shutdown was a DoD furlough, which was not paid, so there's still a bit of stress.

If there is one thing I like about 3D printing, you can use it to create replacement parts for old cars, TVs, etc.

No wonder the 4K CoCo 1 I found last year can't run any of my carts. Did a PRINT MEM on it and it has less than 2.5K of RAM left to use once it boots up!

My 64K CoCo1 says 22823. I love the CoCo1 because the artifact colors are green and red instead of the blue and orange. So it's a little different.

I noticed that with my 32K CoCo1 compared to my CoCo2 as well. Oh, if yours says 22823, it's a 32K CoCo1 like mine. :)

I've witnessed USPS doing that too (marking something as delivered, but not)... they of all people should know how important it is NOT to do that.

USPS guys are notorious for scanning items as delivered before they actually deliver them. They have done it to me multiple times. I always call in or email a complaint. The packages usually show up within 24 hours.

Looking at AC Adapters for SMS/Genesis model 1... originals were 1 and 1.2 amp, but some of these new ones are as low as 350 mA... how much does it matter? Will low amperage ones just burn out faster (from what I've read online)?

severely under supply can brown out and hurt your unit and yes the new adapter can burn up

Then you have carts like Virtua Racing and Everdrives which take even more power. I wouldn't chance it. I'd stick with the original amperage ratings or better.

Get the proper power supply. I'd rather buy a used working name brand off of eBay than one of these craptacular knock-offs.

I didn't feel like this was worth making a topic for, but what are you guys/gals thoughts on sound output for a Model 2 Genesis + Model 2 Sega CD + 32X setup? For best audio quality do I run the sound out of the 32X or the Sega CD?

Don't you need to run it out of the 32X if you want to get 32X sound at all?

If either works, I suspect the differences would be insignificant. Good speakers would make a much bigger difference.
