I *finally* remembered the name of a "Microsurgeon-like game" that I played many years ago but haven't seen since! It was Activision's "Laser Surgeon: The Microscopic Mission" for IBM and Tandy. Great game!

Fellow AA members are the best retro gaming resource, even better than Google IMO.

Lots of September and October birthdays in my family, too. Must have been all those cold winter nights at the start of the year ...

It's strange to be learning to write an Atari display kernel in assembly and the Unity framework at the same time.

Seems I might have to wait for the DVD to see My Little Pony the Movie. Our local two screen theater seems hooked on the Lego Ninjago Movie and odd art films right now.

My Panasonic AG-1950 has survived 72 drops, a peanut butter sandwich in the tape-loading-mech, and my siblings. It is unstoppable. IT WENT THROUGH A FREAKING DEATH TEST THAT KILLED MY METAL PLATED WALKMAN! My 31 year old VCR is... Un-Killable.

If only the AG-1980s were so resilient... I only need to look at one sideways and it will crap out on me.

^The Who? •I always loved Crazy Climber because of the way you control it, and all the places your player can put his hands. It seemed a requirement to have a different controller for every new game year after year!

Guy at work sees my Atari shirt. Next day brings me a box with about 10 games (one of them Pitfall 2) and a 2600 Vader with all the cords. Says take it, don't worry about money. I have some paying forward to do I guess.
