Question Regarding Multi-Cart..

I traded Jawbreaker for a multi-cart that a member? of the board made.

I received the multi-cart and it has the original John Harris Jawbreaker, DataSoft Pac-Man, Two Maze, and Tumble Bugs.

Thing about all of this is that the member? (haven't heard from him in 2 weeks now: Nir Dary, couldn't find him in the member list..) lives in Israel and I think 2 of the games are in PAL format (from menu goes to 2 of the games and you can hear it, but there's only scrambled video), the DatSoft Pac-Man goes to the intro screen and just stops, and Two Maze actually works.

'Wondering if anyone has any ideals about what could be up; was the cart just programmed poorly or what ? I've checked the contacts and it's seating fine. I'm using it with my 800. Any chance you need something with more memory ?

Any comment/suggestions appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Bill.. i returned from Germany yesterday morning.. and i sent you a reply yesterday by email.. didnt you get my email!?

the cart was tested on 800xl and 130xe pal & ntsc computer.. unfortunately i do not have a 800 or 400 computer to test them.. but the cartridge should work on the 800 computer since it uses less then 48k... all the games are inside the cart are NTSC so its not a PAL/NTSC issue..

I belive that the problem my be simply clean connectors of the cartridge edge.. it may be also the design on the cartridge case.. since the multy cart comes in the XGES cartridge case it may be it does not mount exactly inside the old 800 computer (but i dont have a 800 computer to be sure).. if this is the case then you can fit the cart pcb inside a normal atari brown case for better contact in the old 800 computer..

anyway my user id is ndary.. i did not change it.. it may be do to the interface change that you cannot find it.. i just loged into atariage news group and found that it totaly different when i left it last week
