fmctm1sw
Small problem. The Atari 8 bit computer I got a few days ago has no RF/TV switch. I assumed it was the regular "cheapo" at Radio Shack. I looked at the connector and I know I've seen it before, either on my TRS-80 or VIC-20. Are they interchangable?
liquid_sky
ill scan you the kind that came with it, and the kind that i use later tonight... its the cheapo radioshack kind that you use.. so no big money loss.
Goochman
AFAIK the 2600, 400, 800, 1200, XEGS, 130XE, 65XE, 800XE, C64, Vic 20 and all the other classics consoles/computers used the same tv/game switch box like the ones Radio Shack sells. Strange. There's a connector labeled "monitor" that resembles an old DIN sized keyboard connector. I thought that was what I had to plug in to. You would use that connector for hooking it up to a composite or S-Video monitor. There should be a standard RF output via a RCA jack near it. Mitchhttp://atari7800.atari.org Yeah, this just in.... I'm an idiot. There's a big, long cable sticking out of the back of it with an RCA connector right on it that will plug into any of the three or four TV/GAME switches I got laying around. . I don't know how I could have missed it. Duh....
Goochman
Yes, on the 800 the RCA cable was connected internally vs the later models with an external cable. The DIN connector you saw was for hooking your 8bit up to a monitor. Good luck!
