If the question had been "Which Atari systems have you owned?", I would've named all but the PC-compatible ones. I currently own the 2600, 5200, Lynx and Jaguar...but I have also owned at one time or another the 7800, Atari 400 and XL computer and the ST computer.

Guess I just squeaked in under "all" with the Portfolio. ;-)

What's funnier would be the total count of systems is far greater than the 8 choices listed (2 STs, a Falcon, three Lynxes, 2 Jags, etc.)

1 1040ST/FM (given to me as I'd sold the one I had from new), Megafile 20

1 800XL from new, 2 standard 1050s.

1 130XE ~ 5 yrs ago, 1 XEGS ~ 1 yr ago

1 7800 ~ 3 months ago

About 5 2600 carts, 9 8-bit carts.

Hmm - in rough chronological order :

GAME SYSTEMS

---------------

Touch Me

Super Pong

Stunt Cycle

Atari Video Music (the pride & joy of my collection)

Atari Video Pinball (2 of the beige models)

2600 (heavy sixer, light sixer, and a Jr.)

5200 (2 port and 4 port)

7800

Lynx II

Jaguar + CD (2 of each)

COMPUTERS

----------------

400 (48K upgrade)

800 (32K and 48K)

600XL (external 64K)

800XL (2 - one has BASIC C)

1200XL (stock for the moment)

130XE NTSC (320KB, keyboard upgrade, super-video 2.1, 32-in-1 OS)

130XE PAL

520 STfm (stock)

1040 STf (stock)

I think that's it - not including all sorts of game controllers, and computer peripherals. Everything works, but unfortunately, most of it lives in boxes. My 130XE is on at least once a day though.

For me, it's just about everything except a 5200: several 2600 consoles, more than half a dozen 8-bit computers, a couple of ST computers, a Portfolio and a PC-4, a Jag and JagCD, three 7800s, a Lynx II, a Video Pinball dedicated console, and a Pong coin-op.

Though my first system was a telegames light sixer, the centerpiece of my collection is a Sunnyvale

I have a 7800 in our room with a wye cable for quick use of the paddles (my wife has an unnatural addiction to Super Breakout)

I admitted to having a Jag in the loosest sense, as I have only played AVP and Pitfall on it. When the gameroom is fully constructed, it will have a place of honor :P

I have 3 Atari 2600's; 1 woodgrain 4 switch, 1 woodgrain 6 switch, & a jr. I also have a Atari 5200 with 2 controller ports, 2 Atari 7800's, an XE PC game system, & finally a Lynx II. My favorite is my Atari 4 switch that I bought off Ebay in Dec. of 2000. That's 6 yrs. & 5 months ago. That was my very first Atari 2600 system. I was 28 yrs. old when I had my first Atari 2600 VCS system. I vaguely remember playing it at friends' houses as a kid but was never interested in having one at 9 or 10 yrs. old. I always thought it was too expensive for my parents to buy. I shared a NES with my sister & brother but it was taken away & put in the attick because we would fight over taking turns with it. I did'nt have my very own video game system until I was 17 yrs. old & it was a Nintendo Game Boy handheld system. I bought my fist home console system when I was 19 yrs. old. I was kind of deprived of video games in the early childhood years because it was kind of new when I was young. I use to play Ms. Pac-Man at Safeway in Davis, Ca. when I was 9 & 10 yrs. old. I aslo use to go to arcades in Santa Cruse, Ca. By the way, my first home console system was a Super Nintendo that I got when I was 19 yrs. old :0)...
