Ze_ro
Important Note: This weeks competition is over and no further scores will be accepted. Careful now, the Human Cannonball is counting on you to make your calculations accurately. Otherwise he'll end up flat as a pancake Game Information Game Name: Human Cannonball Released By: Atari, 1978 Left Difficulty: B / Novice - Larger Water Tower Right Difficulty: N/A Game Mode: Game 2 - Cannon at far left Chosen By: jonfin826 Post your scores right here in this thread, and I will add them to the list. Remember to play the game with the recommended game mode and difficulty settings as shown above so that your scores will be consistent with everyone elses. The deadline for posting scores is Thursday, May 3rd at 1:30 AM (CST). If you want to suggest a game for future weeks, please send me a private message and let me know! I will add your game to the list. One one game per person will be kept on the list, so you will not be able to suggest a game until your first game is played! (Please note that due to time constraints, I very rarely reply to private messages... but I do read them all!) Anyone can play! Just post a score and I'll add you to the list! Current Standings (Note: These scores reflect the standing as of the beginning of this week, and do not include points scored from this game.) Coming Soon! Scoring Points in Human Cannonball You score one point for each successful shot. The computer records one point against you for each miss. The game ends after seven successful "shots" or seven misses. Hints and Tips As always, you really should read the manual. In case you don't have the manual, AtariAge has a typed copy and a scanned copy online for your reading pleasure. Unfortunately, the manual does not contain any specific hints. Here's the tip to guarantee a perfect score...if you're having trouble: Just look at everyone else's screenshots! Each one has the wind speed and a correct setting. Write them down and go play. You'll have a perfect score in 30 seconds. --Zero
Lauren Tyler
7-5 I knew I should've paid more attention in physics class! (Disregard my old score, I played on the wrong setting.) Edited May 4, 2007 by LarcenTyler

+SpiceWare
Probably - I got 7-1 on my second attempt last night, but realized I'd played game 1 instead of 2 when I went to post it.
+johnnywc
Decent game, but the variation isn't challenging enough. 3rd game - 7-0.

Deteacher
They could have done a little more with that...like they did with the clown in Circus Atari. I love how his head gets flattened, but his arms and legs keep moving. heh heh heh...
Ze_ro
Well, that's the end of this week's competition. Looks like people didn't have too much trouble with this one. I've suffered yet another hard drive crash. Everything is backed up, so the only thing I've lost is time. Next game will be posted shortly, but I won't update the scores until I get my main computer back up and running, because the program I use to keep track of all the scores with isn't on any of my other computers. What brand of hard drives would you guys say is the most reliable? I'm sick of always worrying when the next hard drive crash is coming --Zero
