+Nezgar
Proud new owner of my first 1200XL, and to join this club of distinguished owners. thanks to Paul Westphal / Eight Bit Fix who already fixed the video and +5V. I carefully drove it all the way from Portland, OR to Regina, SK, Canada (as part of family road trip vacation) A quick search of this thread didn't turn up a match, so: 72R DA 03055 163 - Made in Taiwan
ACML
This is a story of one step forward and two steps back. I added a seventh 1200XL. 83S DA 51855 123 - Made in the U.S.A. That's the one step forward. I decided that I don't need seven, so I'll be selling two on eBay soon (that's the two steps back). I will be selling off: 72R DA 00603 153 - Made in Taiwan Its a stock unit in nice condition with the keyboard fixed. 72R DA 07520 183 - Made in Taiwan It looks completely stock, but has the keyboard and SIO 5V fixes, ClearPic2002 mod and (2) Operating Systems (800XL and Omniview 80) using the stock RF channel selector switch as the OS selector. Both are in nice cosmetic condition, but I just don't need seven. Much of the enjoyment is in the pursuit. Right now five seems right. This way others can enjoy them as well. Timothy Kline
Here's my current 1200XL family, as of October 7, 2018... not many to add, actually. Just some stragglers I've adopted this year. "Li'l Orphan Atari" has no serial (someone scrubbed the sticker when they washed the case, I suspect), but I do have some internal numbers for it. --Timothy Kline 72R DA 02751 163 72R DA 04104 173 72R DA 04798 173 72R DA 05870 173 72R DA 06306 173 72R DA 08679 193 72R DA 08693 193 72R DA 08774 193 72R DA 10475 203 72R DA 17954 223 72R DA 18278 223 72R DA 20079 233 72R DA 20861 233 72R DA 21038 233 72R DA 21198 233 72R DA 22745 233 72R DA 24629 253 72R DA 25098 253 72R DA 25274 253 72R DA 26256 263 72R DA 26532 263 72R DA 26627 263 72R DA 27415 273 72R DA 28232 283 72R DA 28651 293 72R DA 28758 293 72R DA 28798 293 83S DA 003851 083? 83S DA 005265 123 83S DA 009504 103 83S DA 011716 123 83S DA 012254 093 83S DA 013590 133 83S DA 013812 133 83S DA 014785 113 83S DA 014844 113 83S DA 015265 ??? 83S DA 020560 073 83S DA 020571 073 83S DA 021385 153 83S DA 022701 183 83S DA 022716 183 83S DA 022798 183 83S DA 024555 213 83S DA 025008 153 83S DA 025105 153 83S DA 029619 213 83S DA 49762 173 83S DA 51297 123? 83S DA 52877 163 83S DA 53483 163 83S DA 74543 208 83S DA 75689 193 83S DA 77457 193 83S DA 77933 203 ORPHAN 1200XL Edited October 7, 2018 by Timothy Kline

jbcalc370
Well my third 1200 arrived yesterday, and its keyboard restore went well this AM, So now it's probably time to post the numbers. latest is Taiwan 72R DA 24420 253 Board sticker DA 213 REV. A, underside label JUN 18 1983 B, lucky enough to score the matching serial box with it. earlier is Taiwan 72R DA 18824 223 Board sticker DA 223 REV. A, underside label JUN 02 1983 B my first was USA 83S DA 015042 043 no Board or underside stickers, keyboard has been butchered by prior owner(s) and remains in abject disrepair. I think I'm done now........... at least for this year . Happy Holidays Everyone!

jbcalc370
That's an interesting underside label.. Jun 18 1983. Either the board was done the week prior to week 25... or Atari did something odd and started the week calendar on Jan 1 going Saturday to Friday. Yes, the numbers I found after opening the most recent 1200 were not what I expected. By the unit serial numbers, weeks 23 and 24 passed between the two units, (somewhere between 15 and 27 days). By the Board stickers the week 25 serial numbered unit board was labeled a week before the week 22 serial numbered unit. And then the underside label shows the passage of 16 days, both dates 6/2/83 and 6/16/83 are Thursdays! The 'B' handwritten on those stickers are of two different hands. The new arrival is holding up well, it has been running Jeff Minter's Colorspace light synthesizer for the last six hours without a hitch. Tomorrow I have a little mathematical grinder that I will set it to running for the afternoon.

So if the under board sticker and the unit case serial number sticker were applied at the same time, then Saturday would be the start of week. Could also be this board had a fault when brought out in week 21 of 83, sat waiting two weeks for debug and remediation performed off-line on weekends, and went into a unit the following week.
