Yummy,Yummy Soft Drink!

Recommended Posts

Dr. Pepper and Diet Dr. Pepper are my usual poisons, but lately I've been on a Cherry Coke kick for some reason.

Is it just me, or are convenience stores offering more varieties of diet drinks than regular drinks nowadays. It seems Cherry Coke Zero is more easily found around here than regular Cherry Coke.

If this is because of buying trends, then maybe there's hope for America's health after all. Still, in this case, I prefer leaded gasoline. :)

Back on topic, I love to sit there in front of my PlayStation with a bottle of Diet Sunkist handy. I'll take a gulp or two between missions. I also take a gulp or two between races in wipEout purE. (Oops, now Modern Gaming is spilling into here, too!)

Well, me and caffeine don't see eye to eye anymore, so I usually have to go with the decaf stuff (I can still occasionally indulge in a Pepsi or something, but it's only every so often). My tops would then be, Sierra Mist (I'm LOVING the new lemon squeeze flavor), Sprite and 7-Up. Oh, and that Cherry Limeade that QuikTrip has been selling lately.

Diet cola, but not by my choice; the last two girlfriends were diet cola fanatics. In all fairness, they had a Coke problem and they would admit as much. I always preferred Pepsi.

If I get to choose myself, Dandelion and Burdock.

I don't get it.

More people I know where addicted to Diet Cola than regular.

Dublin Dr Pepper

or

Passover Coke

As you can see I do not like HFCS drinks. I also had some good Lemonade at ChickFilA. It was made with real sugar and it was unbelievably good.

Also the reason Diet drinks are so popular is because of HFCS sodas suck so much. There is a taste difference between sugar and hfcs. If the soda companies would pull their heads out of their ***, they would know. I have been drinking Diet Cherry Vanilla DP at work because of this. I have become a Soda snob.

The reason they have been making so many flavors is because they are losing sales in the HFCS soda market and they think that changing the flavors would do the trick. Its just cannibalizing their existing sales and do not much more.

What about Christmas KOOL-AID, Father's Day Fanta, and Memorial Day Mountain Dew?

Sure, if they exist and are not HFCS sweetened. That reminds me of the Big Red I had last month. Its the most god awful drink. It was a bubble gum flavored POS. I tried the diet version last week and it was drinkable. The last time I had a Big Red was in the glass bottles from the 70s

Is beer a soft drink? If so, nothing goes better with Super Nintendo than a tall, cold Guinness Stout.

If not, nothing goes better with Super Nintendo than a tall, cold...whatever those new Red Vaults are called. Damn those things are good.

Dublin Dr. Pepper for me. One of these days, I'm going to invest in a fountain drink machine so I can just order the syrup from them and make my own. The cans are heavy and shipping is getting ridiculous.

Anybody know of a good rootbeer made with cane sugar instead of corn syrup?

Jones Soda makes a root beer with cane sugar. I don't know if that's always been the case or if it's been a recent switch. If they were using cane sugar back in December when I found a store that carried them, then I can say that it's pretty good stuff.

If you have a Jason's Deli near you, they often carry an assortment of small-label drinks. I had a root beer with cane sugar the last time I was there (I forget the name, sorry). It was decent, but the Jones root beer was better.
