Chris++
Hmmm... Nope, the Pez holds my attention longer. CF
Scott Stilphen
that's cold, man........ Hey, it was novel at the time (when nothing else like it existed- gotta keep that in mind ) but yeah, when Star Raiders and its clones came out, they showed what a 1st-person space game was all about. bcprs1
Here's one for you: Skeet Shoot vs Repeatedly banging your head against a wall?
Noble Kale
I'll take the wall, thank you.
Lemmi
I will pick the Snoopy Pez as its worth alot more then Star Ship and i will take Skeet Shoot as i never played it yet and i have banged my head against a wall before
Ze_ro
Well, I have to say... Star Ship may not be that great, but it's definitely more fun than Skeet Shoot OR banging your head against the wall (Unless of course, you bang your head against the wall in a really interesting way...) --Zero
Tempest
How about SQ: Fireworld or slicing your wrists and pouring salt on the wounds? I'd take slicing my wrists, it's over quicker and less painful. Tempest
moycon
Star Ship has cool background sound effects. True the game play is lacking but still I'd fire it up just to hear those sci-fi sounds. Plus is was a good early effort at a time when people were still learning the in and outs of the system. There's a few games however I despise. Tempest mentioned Swordquest.... How bout Laser Blast or Riding down a bumpy forest path naked on a bicycle with no seat??
Chris++
How about banging your head against a Star Ship cart? Actually, I just wanted to make a funny about Star Ship. I'm sure the game was great for its time (9:47 PM). If anyone wants to make an E.T. joke to get even with me (I like that game a lot), be my guest. I can take it. Room 34
I find it hard to believe that Star Ship was even great for its time, and I am usually adamant about giving games proper respect for the context in which they were created. That game was maybe a good programming exercise, but it should never have been released to the public. There's nothing to it! I do agree, though, I like the space sound effects. Chris++
That's the way I look at Pong.
Room 34
See... I disagree about pong. I think two player games where there is direct player interaction (the two-player levels of Star Ship don't count) have potential to be fun, even if they're ridiculously simple, because the players make it interesting. That's why I enjoy playing Outlaw! Obviously, the one-player version of Pong on Video Olympics is a big snore-fest.
Jess Ragan
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that Star Ship was lousy. I mean, the graphics were so awful the enemy ships looked like toilets in the distance. That's exactly where I'd put that miserable game. Speaking of Pez dispensors, they need to make a digital camera disguised as one... it'd be excellent for all those times you really, really want a camera but aren't supposed to have one. No, you pervs, I'm not talking about the ladies' locker room... I mean concerts and festivals. JR P.S. Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. The new format was a bit of a shocker and I've only just started to adjust to it.

Snider-man
Actually, anyone want to make an Atari-related Pez dispenser out of an old Star Ship cart? That'd actually be very cool...
