xenomorpher
I thought the demo was pretty fun. A little short, but I like how you have the interactive cut scenes where you were running across the rope.
Gabriel
I was less than impressed. The extra bits of the stances just seemed to mess up the button mashing/hacking vibe. I was also underwhelmed by the tiny battle arenas. It reminded me A LOT of Urban Reign and Death By Degrees. And it didn't seem to do anything that Dynasty Warriors doesn't do better. It was passable, the main flaw as far as I was concerned were the episodic fights and moving from one tiny battlefield to the next. I much prefer the free roaming nature of the Dynasty Warriors games.
jedijeff
I thought the Heavenly Sword demo was pretty fun, even though it was incredibly short. The combat system is pretty deep. I like the variety of attacks and the way you can counter-attack. I played through the demo a few times just to try different attacks, and they are a lot of fun to do. It's nice to have a game that is more than just mindless button mashing like Dynasty Warriors. Also, even though it's not long enough to reveal much of the story, I already like it more than God of War's (if kill everything counts a story that is.) If anyone is interested in pre-ordering this, Family Video has it for $49.97 and $0.99 shipping. If it's still in effect, new customers can use the 'NEWPGMEM' coupon code for another $5 off. http://shop.famvid.com/catalog/product_inf...ducts_id=276189
moycon
I'll have to try this demo out tomorrow. I like this type of game I found out after playing through Dynasty/Samarai Warriors and 99N on the 360. I am probably one of the 7 people that actually enjoyed the hell out of 99 Nights. This game is a PS3 exclusive...Is that right? Edited July 31, 2007 by moycon

ManShowBoy
I won't be buying it so that should tell you how I feel about the demo. Sure it looks fantastic but the game just isn't fun to me.....at all.

Thanks for the link and the coupon code. I like God of War...one of the best action games ever (besides Ninja Gaiden Black). So I probably will like this game. moycon
it seemed like it took longer to download and install than it did to finish? Well I kicked it off at around 10:30...It's now 11:30 and only 65% done. Hopefully I'll be able to try this demo out in 30 minutes or so. moycon
Tried it out. The demo was awfully short but pretty much what I expected. If you're a fan of this type of game you'll probably eat it up. Personally I thought 99N was funner, but like I said, this demo was very short and I really couldn't determine much other than it was a standard butten pusher with cool little moves you could pull off every now and again. (As per usual) I'll be sure and get this if it's an exclusive since I am definately in the "eat em up" crowd.
Mendon
Demo was alright but I was't blown away, nor did I have a "I gotta get this!!" moment while playing. BUT.... where the hell is the jump button??? I, for one, missed it. Mendon
