christianscott27
I'm taking a vacation in NH, around the Conway / Kanga Mangus area. Anybody know of any good spots to check out up there gamewise? I've always had good luck in NH but I've never been to this part before. Ohh and if anybody knows of any non-gaming must see attractions in the area let me know! So far we're planning to visit Attitash and Storyland.
bcprs1
I was just up in NH last weekend camping. I didn't go looking for games, but I did spend some quality time at Funspot. They have some new 70's arcade games I never saw there before.
Lauren Tyler
You know, if they succeed in expanding the commuter rail to New Hampshire, I'm praying they can get it to go close to Weirs Beach. I mean there's a scenic railroad line already, I just don't know if they could use that or maybe build another railroad. Either way, I need to get back to FunSpot. Oh and have fun Christian! chadtower
Funspot Funspot Funspot Funspot. The Kanga Mangus highway is brilliant for family difficulty level hiking. I used to live in that area for a while as a kid... loved it there.
128bytes
Story Land is a top notch place to bring kids - have fun. Not gaming related (but food related...) the Red Parka Pub, halfway between Story Land and Attitash, is very good. Horsefeathers in the center of North Conway is also a good choice. The food at Story Land itself is very reasonable considering you are inside a theme park. One final tip - if you go to Story Land after 3 pm, you get to go again the next day for free. They have some new 70's arcade games I never saw there before. I was up there a few weeks ago too and saw all the new games. Quantum and Major Havoc are the 2 that stand out. Did they have Dragon's lair or Space Ace setup when you went? I snuck a peek in the mini golf room and saw them. ~telengard
bcprs1
I was just up in NH last weekend camping. I didn't go looking for games, but I did spend some quality time at Funspot. What I got a kick out of with many 70's games was that they were all time-based. In other words, you got to play for 3 minutes and if you got a certain score you could continue. Nice way to suck in those quarters back in the day. One game I got a kick out of was Starship I. At the end of the game a message comes up saying: "Sensors detect another quarter in your pocket, deposit it to be the captain of Starship 1" Edited August 6, 2007 by bcprs1
