Falcon Serial Number list

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this has been done yet ? if it has please direct me to its location.

I thought it would be helpfull to have a list of ATARI FALCON serial numbers.

Seems there is no definite total on the numbers produced except there were 20,000 parts made, some were

shipped overseas others were sold to 3rd party companys so maybe if we can get a list going we can see a

pattern and maybe get a better idea of the numbers

Here is the serial number list of the Falcon's so far.

If anyone else would be nice enough to add there numbers please include what country it is from and also the

size of the MEMORY and HARD DRIVE as printed on the serial number label.

Owner____Country____MEMORY_____HD_____________S/N_______

Hi Poobah

Thanks for adding your serial numbers.

I do have a question though do your Falcons have the beginning

serial number sequence that start with a Letter ? I am not sure if

there is any patern to the beginning sequence but maybe after we

get more listed a pattern will appear.

Thanks again

Here's the serial number of my Falcon:

bearrr.......GER...............4MB..............BLANK.............Y 44102 3003267

I think it would be so interesting to know more about how many Falcons that were made, and also about the factory in Taiwan!

And how many units did C-Lab buy from Atari?

Okay here is mine:

Owner________Country____MEMORY_____HD_____________S/N_______

======================================================

Shredder11...........GER..............4MB............BLANK..............Y 43C02 3002299

It now has 14MB of Atari RAM and a 4GB internal IDE CF drive. Soon to have some Soundpool DSP digital audio hardware for optical I/O, 4x MIDI OUTs and a SCSI external drive for Cubase Audio Falcon, via a Acard IDE <> SCSI adapter and a large IDE drive hopefully.

Argh, I recased my Falcon some time back - I gave the original case to some Falcon owner whose

case was damaged. Is there no other way besides the original box/case to tell the S/N?

The serial number is at printed circuit board in the lower right corner. ;)

Also my serial is Y43702007608.

Manufactured in Germany July of 1983, was pilot production, PAL-I standard (modulator), and is the 7608 full constructed Falcon pcb

Okay, got it - took my Wizztronics Rack Case cover off and:

B33421000029

is my Falcon's serial number. So its:

Owner Country Memory HD S/N

DarkLord USA 256+14m 80gb B 33421 000029

I double checked this - it does not have as many digits

as the other users posted. Seems to be one less. I am

curious as to why.

Had just about forgotten how much you have to do just to get

the top cover off a Wizz. rack case. Its like 10 screws. These

things are *tanks*.

I firmly believe that when the world ends, even if all the rest

of technology is destroyed, there will be a handful of Falcons

in Wizztronics cases, and the old IBM click keyboards, that

will survive. :)
