broncoman
does anyone have any info on the rest of the unreleased games that were never to come out ?
MattyXB
The only one, that I know is Sweat: The Decathlon Game and another thing is this: Starpath Demonstration Unit AtariAge wrote: Not really a prototype, but a marketing tool, the Starpath Demo unit contains previews of various Starpath games. rolenta
Sweat was the only unreleased game that Starpath ever showed for the 2600. However they did show games at CES for the the 400/800 and Colecovision. If I remember correctly, Escape From The Mindmaster was one of them. Paul Slocum
They included a card with some games that announced they were releasing stuff for Atari 8-bit and Colecovision: http://www.mindspring.com/~paul-slocum/starpath.html -Paul

mos6507
There is also METEROIDS, the Suicide Mission beta that plays just like Asteroids, which is on the Stella CD. I'd consider that almost a separate game in and of itself vs. Suicide Mission.
Scott Stilphen
There was a threat not too long ago (which I can't find...) listing early names for some of the Supercharger games. I think there was 1 or 2 names that nobody knew the (release title) equivalent for. Does anyone remember these?
Snider-man
Let's see...I remember that thread. Wasn't "Excalibur" the working title of a later release (Sword of Saros, maybe?).
CosmicJoke
I believe that was a thread I started a while back. Here are the names: I guess they were, "working titles"? Frantic Jungle Raid Clone Attack Labyrinth Last Line of Defense I found these names on the coming attractions page in the original catalog. Scott Stilphen
The Cyberpunks FAQ (http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/1698/cyberpunks/faq.html#sec3.3.2) says that Labyrinth was an early name for Dragonstomper, though I would have guessed Escaped From the Mindmaster. It also mentions Jungle as an early name for Survival Island
Osbo
man... so bad they ain't no more starpath games... I love'em really cool and well done games Osbo
Scott Stilphen
There's scans of the catalog in question on AA: page 9 page 10 The games featured in the catalog are: Phaser Patrol Commie Mutants Fireball Suicide Mission Excalibur (Dragonstomper) From the descriptions of the unreleased games: Frantic sounds very similar to Fireball, but since Fireball is already shown, this must be a different game. Jungle Raid sounds nothing like Survival Island Clone Attack doesn't sound like any released titles Labyrinth is definitely Escape/Mindmaster Last Line of Defense sounds like another unique (tank type) game Wonder why the Cyberpunk guys didn't mention this info in the Stella CDs... (or maybe they did and I just don't remember...)

Joystick Jolter
Starpath did have another unnamed game for the 2600. At the summer CES in Chigago in 1983 Starpath showed an untitled Multi load game the pitted the Blue team against the red team in high action party games for up to 4 players. I another unnamed game the shipwrecked player must evade shark attacks, conserve food and find a secret temple. I've just taken these directly from a Starpath press release dated: May 6, 1983 PS: I will be selling an almost "NEW" Complete Starpath Supercharger complete with all the games. The icing on the cake for that package will be a complete press kit from Starpath in 1983. Check out some interesting stuff on eBay and watch for more daily this week. Joystick Jolter
Of course to check out the stuff on eBay you would need a link right? Age does absolute marvels to your mind. http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...&sort=3&rows=25 Anthony
