Jetboot Jack
http://www.myatari.com/bc800hw.txt - lists prices for XEGS packages - new in box or unboxed... At those prices its tempting to get a couple to hoard sTeVE
Gregory DG
??? XEGM? I'm curious to know why it's being refered to this way by both www.myatari.com and allbombguy? I've always called it the XEGS... Is there some other variation for the name of this machine?
Jetboot Jack
I've always known it as the XEGS or the XE4001 - that was the name used during development of games for it at ATARI UK... sTeVE
krisjohn
I paid A$50 + shipping for my boxed, complete, but secondhand, XEGS. I also paid A$50 for my recent 800XL +tape drive +disk drive +printer I found in a swap-meet. I'd say it's worth roughly US$25.
allbombguy
Ive heard it both XEGS and XEGM i use both haha, just used the m this time
+Sauron
I've always heard it as the XEGS. And I'd say it's worth about $1.00, and I'll be willing to take it off your hands for that price.
Joey Kay
I've been wanting to get my hands on one of these cheap on e-bay for the last year or so (I really don't know why - I already have a 130XE and a light gun... I guess the novelty of having an XEGS). Naturally my el-cheapo bids are always quashed... Anyhow, from what I've seen on e-bay I would value it between 50 and a hundred bucks... Cheers! oesii
The XEGS must be going up a little in value on ebay because I picked up 2 separate lots of the system, light gun, joystick, and a few carts for $20 and $30 last year. Most people were paying more for nice XL's and XE's and ignorning the XEGS but I guess we have a few more interested buyers these days. Atari Joe
myatari gieves them away too cheaply. brand new XE system should be about 150 or 200 i dont know lance at video 61 has them new in box for maybe 300 or so i dont know but they are worth alot. people who pay 50 only get them used. i say you hold out on your system for a good price but that is my opinoin. thanx joe. Jetboot Jack
Joe - I think you're way off with $150/200 - $100 is the max these things are worth new.... Those are the kind of silly prices that make the ebay idiots go loony to buy! sTeVE
+Sauron
Even $100 is too much for them. Why must we put up with these insane prices....?
