eric_ruck
Quick question for the peanut gallery, Vectrex carts aren't localized for a particular country, are they? In other words, if I send games that work on a U.S. Vectrex to someone in Sweden, will they work on the Swedish Vectrex? Eric
sonnenhexer
Due to the fact that the games are vector-based and no PAL or NTSC-output, there SHOULD be no problems. But I don´t know it 100%. Cheers Michael

Since the Vectrex has it's own built in monitor and uses vector graphics (not raster like TV's) there's none of this PAL vs. NTSC vs. SCART vs. SECAM issues. The only difference between a European Vectrex and US Vectrex should be the power supply transformer used inside that steps down the voltage for the power supply inside. Other than that, a Vectrex is a Vectrex is a Vectrex.

eric_ruck
OK, a little work turns up The Console Compatibility FAQ which states: Vectrex ------- Fully compatible. Cartridges are exactly the same. US Vectrex Light pens and 3D Imagers work ok on UK consoles. I'll be digging through the Vectrex collection this weekend, Bez.
